I've lived out of every hotel across the west for my job for the past decade and this is my favorite. The beds are incredibly comfortable, seriously comfortable. The rooms are super clean. The place is secluded, quiet, and adorable. The owner is also sweet and adorable.

If you are looking for a boring chain motel, this is not the place for you. This sweet little motel is family-owned and obviously lovingly cared-for. The rooms are clean and cozy, the grounds have lovely informal flowers. We found the owners helpful and polite. Slightly hard to find this motel--it's about 5 blocks off the main street and in... We ended up here by accident and it was great. We had to wait a day for fellow travelers to catch up to us and after some photography work near Newcastle, decided to stay. Local people recommended this little hotel to us while eating in a nearby restaurant. Friendly owners, nice clean rooms, very quiet location - and a good... More

Just up the hill from town you feel as if you've gone back in time. The owner was very responsive to any questions that I had. Would definitely stay here again. Bonus was watching the deer along the road while driving into the location. Full rack and velvet which was beautiful this time of year.

Small hotel located off the main road. Room was clean, service was prompt. The owner was very attentive to our requests. This was the only hotel available during the Sturgis bike event with reasonable price and not too far from the road. Do not arrive late if you want to use the hot tub. Also, breakfast was very good and... More

The Pines is so very lovely, clean and quiet!! There was no cycle noise even tho the Sturgis Rally was under way. I am so glad we looked no farther than the Pines! The yard swing was just what my daughter and I needed to relax and chat away from the stresses of travel and home. Our visit was bittersweet... More

Myself and another guy stayed here during Sturgis rally week. What a great hotel, Thanks to Ida this place is clean, and well maintained. Would recommend the place if you want a quite mom and pop kinda place. Because of the small size it has a great atmosphere.

We had a nice stay in Newcastle. Its hard to find a chain hotel to stay in... but this was so much better! We have 5 in our family, so she told us we'd have the room with two queen beds... it was so much more than that! There were two bed rooms, two sitting rooms, a full kitchen, and... More

We were travelling through Wyoming and spent one night here. The motel is small, rooms are small but it is very comfortable and clean. We picked this motel based on other reviews and were glad we did. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend it.

Pines Motel is a cut above the average roadside inn. Attractively landscaped (with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy it!), its rooms are beautifully decorated and (for their small size) well-designed and comfortable. We happened to be here on our wedding anniversary, and couldn't have asked for anything more pleasant.
