Who knew there would be a homey, comfortable, clean, relaxed place in Newcastle, WY? Now I'm glad we drove clear across Wyoming today, and through the grasslands, at that. At the end of our long haul drive, and several days of camping, we stayed in the suite. Ahhh, the comforts of home. Right down the street, a pretty darn good... More

The Pines Motel is suitable if you must stop over in Newcastle. There is nothing to do there. When I first called to book, Iva was very pleasant & helpful. We were not sure exactly what time we would be arriving, because we had several hundred miles to drive that day. As it turned out, we arrived at 3PM. Much... More

This cozy retro motel is so well-maintained and full of nice amenities. Beds were good and the owner is a very sweet woman who responded to all our requests. WIFI did cut out early, however--our only complaint.

Clean, nice people. We were on the way to Mount Rushmore and Newcastle is very clean. All appliances worked. Bed a little soft. We had queen and two twins for 4 people. Tight fit but fine for one night.

The Pines is located about 5 minutes out of town in a quiet, forested neighborhood. It is an older facility with individual entrances and a common parking lot. The small rooms ( and tinier bathrooms) are attractively updated with traditional furnishings and decor. Iva, the owner was warm and personal, with a prompt and efficient check-in. Beds were very good... More

Iva was very friendly and the room was quaint. Towels were fluffy and clean. It was quiet and peaceful, close to town and the highway. We would have preferred a king size bed rather than a queen, but overall a very nice stay. We would stay here again.

This is your chance to go back in time. This is a typical motel of the “50”. The rooms are small and compact but efficient. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. The instructions to get the TV to work are different from any place you have ever stayed. But there again we are talking about the... More

Get this...I didn't stay here, but big mistake. I had gauranteed reservation at Fountain Inn which has reasonably appointed rooms but a run down exterior not at all matching the website pics. Here's my case:..I mistakenly drove to Pines Motel thinking it was my reservation place. I was greeted by a wonderfully friendly host who upon realizing I didn't have... More

I travel a lot for business and try to stay at this motel every year. It is always clean and well maintained. Usually a really quiet location. Staff are friendly and courteous. One of the highlights of my business year.

I've lived out of every hotel across the west for my job for the past decade and this is my favorite. The beds are incredibly comfortable, seriously comfortable. The rooms are super clean. The place is secluded, quiet, and adorable. The owner is also sweet and adorable.
