Fountain Inn looks like it came out of a time warp from the 60s. If you want a poor nights sleep stay here, beds and linens must be as old as the inn itself and there is very little upkeep in the rooms. This establishment definitely shows no pride in ownership.

We checked in after 10 hours on the road and this hotel was close to the interstate. I am glad my husband was with me because I was a bit concerned about the clientele. The hotel was very old and reminded me of the 60's Motel 6. If we weren't so tired, I probably would have looked for some place... More

We made reservations ahead of time and when we checked in at 7pm our room was still dirty from the previous customers. We were told to wait 10min while they put clean sheets on ONE of the TWO beds. The bathroom and entire room was left dirty from the people before us. Terrible service. Nasty rooms. Checked out early and... More

If going to or coming from crazy horse then new castle is the ideal location to stay. And here the best motel i could find was fountain inn. Nice motel with superb restaurant. I was not expecting such a fine dining experience in a small place like new castle.

Have been staying at the Fountain Inn for 10 years. Each year I reserve a lower level room for the next year, and every year THEY SCREW IT UP!!! Since ownership changed they have ran this place in the ground, but one is limited on places to stay in Newcastle. Let the traveler beware.

Actually after going through reviews I had not preferred to stay here but stayed at another motel. But when I arrived at this place for dinner (up stair there is a good restaurant), I found the place very nice. So next day I moved here. The best service and room I got here. I think reviews are too old and... More

I was here for one night for work. The front desk was very nice. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that all I had to do to get into my room was hold the card up to the door, and presto it was unlocked. No sliding or push the card just right to get into your room here. I... More

We stayed during the week of the Sturgis motorcycle rally in SD - about 70 miles away - and paid too much for a very average room. We arrived to find scores of flies buzzing about in our room. Food in dining room was mediocre. Keep looking.

We stayed here after visiting Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse on our return trip to California from Wisconsin. We were tired and need a place to stay that had food and beverage near by. This place had both. The hotel is a bit rundown looking. The room was clean but worn. We found three dirty pillows and a room key... More
