We stayed here with two of our sons in July and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The view of the mountains and access to Yellowstone and the Teton National Parks was very convenient as was traveling to Jackson Hole. At night it became so quiet you could hear a pin drop. The staff was outstanding and... More

this so called resort is 38 miles from any town. Moran is just a post office. This resort does not open the office until 7:30a.m. If you want coffee you have to go the the restaurant and purchase it. If you want ice you have to walk into the bar area of the restaurant and get it. There is no a/c... More

They laughably call themselves a resort, but have zero aminities. Only thing resort like is ridiculously high prices. This is a $49 a night motel charging over $200 for a run down, very dated, very small room. We were told after checking in at 4 PM that we would have to wait until 6 to get ice but could buy... Dirt on bathroom floor, 4" tear in bed sheet but the worst thing was the 3 mice we saw before we went to bed running in our room. We quickly closed up our suitcases and went to our SUV where we tried to sleep for the night. The next morning the manager said the mice were voles and are part... More

Yellowstone in the summer hotels are all expensive and hard to get a room. So if you plan to visit this place in the summer plan and book ahead of time or you will get rip. The hotel had no vacancy except for the suite. The regular rooms cost $169+ and the front desk guy gave us the suite room... More

Pros: If you are visiting Yellowstone and Grand Tetons and cannot find a place inside either, this is closer than Jackson Hole They have a gas pump at their locatin and 1 mile west there's one more. Dedicated parking in front of room Real log construction, most are single floor rooms so no one creeks the wood above you Showers... More

We planned a 12 day trip to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. Our goal was to stay in various places along our trip to reduce driving times due to the large distances withing the parks. We chose the Hatchett Resort because it was located close to the entrance of the Grand Tetons. It was a nice enough looking... More

We traveled throughout Yellowstone and thought the Hatchet Resort would be a perfect lodge. What a mistake. The hotel had been renovated within a few years and could have been very nice. But, the carpet was filthy. Sand had been tracked in through the front door and they hadn't bothered to vacuum it. We requested vacuuming and after they were... More

Stayed one night in a Suite. Beautiful views of the Tetons. Fantastic Big Jetted Tub. Great Big windows to let the Mountain air flow. Delightful Heated floors to warm your feet. Loads of extra blankets, pillows and plenty of towels.Pleasant staff that was looking forward to a much needed break from the busy Summer Season! Book one of the Suite's... More

The Hatchet Resort is vastly over rated and over priced. Our room was not much bigger than a walk-in closet. The lone bed was tight to the wall while the opposite wall was less than 18 inches from the bed. The carpet was stained and wet and wood was rotting from a leaky shower sill. The hot tub they advertised... More
