Planned our honeymoon trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, but couldn't get through the mountains because of snow. We were past the cancellation date, but called the hotel to see if they would issue us a credit to use during the Summer instead of just taking our money. The manager was rude and refused to work with us. The hotel... More

The hotel's interior is tastefully done - the breakfast shack and the restaurant. Our room had solid wood furniture, but storage space is very spare. Rooms are dim and lighting poor so it makes it difficult to read. No frig, and a small ice bucket. No in-room coffee, bottle opener, etc. This despite daily rates north of $150 per night.... More

I'm not sure how we got there, but we sure were LUCKY. We loved it....All 4 of us/both couples. Loved the knotty pine walls & quaint lodge feeling of the rooms. Beds were very comfortable & showers & bath worked well for us. Can't say all you "PLASTIC" people from the city would like it, but we gave it a... More

Our two-night stay at the Hatchet Resort was a disappointment. Until this place, I have never had lodging that had mouse traps in the rooms. Fortunately, we did not see any mice, dead or alive; but, the thought of it made me not want to set anything on the floor or walk to the bathroom without shoes. The first room... More

stayed there last week and loved the place. Reached after 10 PM, the keys were left outside in the envelope, the instructions were also given in Expedia.com (we always call whenever we reach late) Room was clean, bed was firm and we did like the classic look. Gas station was right outside the motel which was bonus.

We chose Hatchet resort as the last stop in YellwoStone park. We had a family suite in a duplex cabin, built by timber logs throughout, quite a unique look and feel. The furniture is uniquely crafted and thoughtfully placed. The lamps on night stands are at different height, indicating a he side and she side, he side is by the... More

This is a great place to stay if you want your kids to experience the "resort" motels (think fishing "resort") you stayed at as a child. It feels like a blast from the past. The grounds and building exteriors are very retro but very well kept. The room we had left a great deal to be desired. The carpet was... More

We were very impressed with our stay at the Hatchet Resort. The rooms were very clean and the location was convent for our vacation hop between the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone NP. Only complaint would be $$. However the the Hatchet is worth your consideration.

When booking our trip to Yellowstone National Park,we left it too late to stay within the park & thus had to seek other accommodation, so we had to stay at the Hatchet "Resort", just outside Grand Teton National Park , overpriced & extremely average, retro 1990`s TV`s, rooms could use a serious refurbishment, don`t look behind the night-table! On a... More

This is a good place to stay for proximity to the Tetons because there is very little lodging closer than Jackson, Wyoming. The office staff were not exactly rude, but not much concerned about anything, either. We asked for a local map, and they didn't have one. There was no hair dryer in the room, and they didn't have any... More
