We found a nice site that backed onto the lake so we could set up our chairs and watch the sun fall down over the Teton Mountains. Deer wandered around us. The sites were close together but with so many trees it still felt private.

We found a tent site at the campground with little difficulty after arriving at Grand Teton National Park in the mid/late afternoon. The sites immediately next to the lake looked like they might have had drainage issues (a few were riddled with rainwater gullies), so we opted for one a little further away. The site was well equipped with a... More

This was the third campground we stayed at on our trip out west. Not really a fan of the first-come, first-served approach to getting a site. It was nice reserving a spot at Yellowstone and Custer State Park in SD and not having to get up early to try and find an available spot. Plus, some of the spots that... More

I am not a big fan of camping, but when it can save me over $150 a night- I love camping! IWe were going to camp at Colter Bay, but decided we wanted a view. It's first come, first serve and so my husband woke up at 7am (usually fills up by 11am) to get us a spot and I... More

We stayed here in a 24 ft motorhome with kids age 6 and 8. This is a very good campground and centrally located within the park. It sits right on the lake and has very easy access to the lake and its beaches. I prefer it over Jenny CG because of the access to the lake. The bathrooms and CG... More

Our first choice was Jenny Lake, but it was full. Signal Mountain is centrally located in the park an covers a hill and borders Jackson lake. The bathrooms were a little old and beat up (no soap) but adequate. No onsite showers, but they do have potable water and a dish sink. We camped in a non-electric spot, and I... More

The campground is indeed beautiful and very well maintained. Just like all the campsites- you need to get there early to get your pick of sites- or to get one at all. It's frustrating that you still have to pay electric hook up prices when we were in just a tent :( I did love being able to glance up... More

We really enjoyed Signal Mountain Campground. We got there early Tuesday morning and were able to get 3 campsites next to each other, but if you want to be sure of getting a site, you need to get there early in the day and early in the week helps, too. The campground has some great views of Jackson Lake, and... More

We stayed one night at this campground and thought it was great. The title of my review might be a bit misleading because I am sure Jenny is great too, but I would not skip over Signal Mountain if you could go there. No showers though, but you do have bathrooms and drinking water. By the time we got to... More

We have been to GTNP for the last three summers and decided to try this campground for the first time. We have a pop up camper (27' long). We had reservations in Colter Bay RV park so on our last day there we went over to "scout out" the campground. It is fairly wooded - some sites have more shade... More
