Yes the place is very oddball/quirky with layer upon layer of western kitsch; but it has this funky, off-beat appeal and the owner and staff are nice as they can possibly be. Personally, I like to stay in little mom-and-pop motels with personality as long as they are clean, safe and have basic amenities like cable tv and wifi that... More

This hotel is better than your average chain. Nothing to fancy, but it is very unique and great for the area. I would stop here again when I am in town. And the price is great, for a clean room. The staff was very nice as well.

I chose this motel because of the reviews and feeling very nostalgic for route 66 I made it a point to stop here and was not disappointed at all. This place is not for everyone but to those who know what I mean, this place was great! There is a saloon right across the street that is right out of... More

A word of warning, we found bed bugs in our room. When we told management, they were shocked but unwilling to give us a discount or our money back. I definitely will not be going back to feed any more bed bugs.

Was travling through Wyoming and needed a place for the night. Saw this place and had to check it out. It was a girls road trip, and there were 3 of us. When we got there, we were shown a room with 3 comfortable beds, and 3 sinks! What a deal for women on the road. The place was clean... More

At first the fear factor may set in. Animal statues everywhere. Wagon wheels by the door. But the price was right. And the rooms are clean. My room also had a microwave and refrigerator. I loved this place.

Pros: comfy bed, good pillows, quiet, good location, inexpensive, lots of personality. Cons: no sleep timer on TV remote, strange room layout, lots of personality. This is not the motel for everyone. I'll state that right away. "Quirky" is an understatement. There are elk and deer and bear sculptures everywhere, giant murals in each room, a mini version of the... More

If you like different, this is the place to stay. The manager/owner is great, can walk downtown after a day sitting in the car, Starbucks is a about a block away. It is old America. Wifi is ok.took great pics.

We could not believe the Gas Lite when we drove up the first time - Western memorabilia every where. There is a plastic horse on the roof and the area around the parking lot is filled with all the things you would associate with the west. The first time we stayed, all the book shelves in the room were made... More

Pros: Cost for budget travelers, friendly staff, 2 sinks (one in the bathroom and one outside of the bathroom), well maintained and landscaped park with paved trails 2 blocks east, local Mr. Jim's pizza. Cons: no hair dryer, lousy breakfast (bulk packaged store bought danishes), no grass on or near the property. Overall the room was quiet and comfortable. The... More
