While this motel looks like a 50s or 60s throwback, fear not. Inside, our room was clean, modern and comfortable, and included a refrigerator and microwave. The clerk at the front desk was friendly. We stayed in room 112, which had a king bed, and a nice view out the window. Definitely recommend this motel.

Here's CA girl, out in the land of "chain sprawl mcRooms" vs "sad, pathetic Bates Motel" lodging choices. And we find Holiday Lodge. Clean, cheerful (you'll get it after a couple of cheap motel stays), peaceful, rejuvenating after camping. Walking distance to good food. View of River and beavers. Smells fine. Not sad. Stay here.

We stayed at the Holiday Lodge on our way home from the Grand Tetons. It's about 3 hours from the east entrance to the Tetons. The hotel itself is not anything special - but what I liked about this hotel is it felt straight out of the 1960's. It looks and feels like a 1960's hotel but the owners have... More

Our queen room was large, very clean, and quiet. The owners are warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. There's a fridge and microwave in the room with coffee, tea, juice, and sweet rolls available in the lobby in the morning. A short walk to downtown Lander will get you to some good dinner options. We'll stay here... More

Thank you for your review! We’re really glad you enjoyed your stay. Lander has some great dinner places, the Gannett Grill (pub food, and you can get a microbrew too), the Hitching Rack (great steaks and burgers) a new place called Sego (we’ve only eaten there once, so far, but it was good) and a family style diner called the... Drove in to Lander Wy on our way from Colorado to Yellowstone. It was late and dark when we arrived so we could not see much around us other than the McDonalds close by and the Gas/Liquor store across the street which closed at 11. We settled into our room around 10:30 p.m. the room was comfy and had all... More

Thank you for your review! One of the best things about our place is that if you get a riverview room, chances are pretty good you’ll see some wild things in the campground below the motel (wild things, as in, deer, marmots, birds – not the campers, they’re usually pretty calm). You can fish the river below the motel if... More

Owners were a delightful couple that shared their knowledge of Lander and directed us to a lovely river walk for an evening stroll. Coffee available in lobby. We didn't use the micro, but did use the fridge. Room was clean, large and airy. We saw the hot tub, but we were there to sleep so we didn't try it. Convenient... More

Thank you for your review! Rick and I have been here at the motel for 17 years, and Rick actually grew up in Lander, so he’s got a lot of cumulative knowledge about the area. The river walk is neat, there’s always birds and sometimes you see deer too. We’re very glad you liked your room, and all I can... More

This is a family owned business. The owners were very nice & accommodating when our toilet kept flushing, they immediately changed our room. The property is rather old & could use some paint & updating. That said, the room was very clean & comfortable. Beds are comfy with lots of pillows, which I like. Rooms are quite large & have... Thank you for your review. Rick and I have been here for 17 years, and Rick’s Dad owned the place before us. It was built in 1958, 1959, or 1960, depending on what old contractor you talk to. We do remodeling a little at a time, by the time we get to one end, it’s time to start over at... More

The outside looks like a joke, but the rooms were great. The room and lobby were clean. The room was in good repair. The room was huge, and even had a great view of the river. I slept like a log. The place was quiet. The bathroom was clean. The price was even better.

Thank you for your review! We decided a few years back that we are what we are, a vintage place out of the late 50’s, so it does take some adventure in a traveler’s soul to stay with us. We even painted the neon signs last summer, which was a little scary, since I reaallly hate heights. We like clean,... More

I waited until a couple days prior to our visit to book a room in Lander and found several of the ones I had on my list booked. So, I researched the web and found this Holiday Lodge. Photos showed the room walls as cinder block so I knew it was fairly old but decided to take a chance. Upon... More

Thanks for your review! Yes, we definitely look like something out of the George Jetson era. The last time we painted the place, we chose colors typical of that time period. We actually considered turquoise and pink, but figured that those colors would work better in Florida than Wyoming, and they wouldn’t go with the colors of the brick on... More

I believe in prayer and as such, leaving Lovell, WY, late afternoon and in a snow storm, having to go over South Pass with slick road, blowing/drifting snow pulling a single axle boat (yes, I know, a boat in the winter), we had made plans to stay in Riverton which is about 17 miles east of Lander but there was... Thank you for the review! Traveling in the winter weather is really scary sometimes, and it’s nice to come in out of the storm. We’re not a fancy place, but we give it our best shot every day to make things clean and comfortable for those folks who have enough adventure in their souls to stay at a vintage motel.... More
