A great, classic American motel. The room we have is super-spacious. Comfortable beds, fridge and microwave, two chairs, desk, high ceilings, slightly funky classic atmosphere. Hosts are really friendly. Price is right. Wifi is fast. "Breakfast" isn't much -- weak coffee, canned juice and a small selection of pre-packaged donuts/cakes. But considering what you're paying, you can't complain. If you... More

This seems to be “a work in progress”, so the outside doesn’t look like much, but they’ve taken good care of the rooms. It's walking distance to dining options. Wifi was disappointing in that it only worked within 3 feet of the door, in other words, perched on the (tiny) bathroom countertop. Breakfast was pathetic. With no in-room coffee maker,... More

Our room was spacious and clean, complete with microwave and 1/2 refrigerator. We were there in July, and it was obvious the manager or owner took great pride in her motel. There were beautiful flower beds throughout the property. We consider it a 4 "circle" motel at a 2 "circle" price. It's not upscale lodging, so don't think it's the... More

Thank you, thank you! We are a family operation, and we are not fancy, but we very much like clean, comfortable and friendly, and we are always very happy when people “get it”. I do like flowers, and we tried a lot of different things in the flower beds in front of the rooms and finally hit upon the idea... More

We were not sure about this motel looking at the outside but it was clean and well kept. The restaurant next door was very good as well. Our group was able to use lawn chairs outside each room. The price was right too.

Thank you for your review! The restaurant next door is called “The Oxbow”, great food, great prices, great little salad bar, too. For a little bitty burg, Lander has some great restaurants. We’ve decided we like the lawn chairs better than the cast iron/wooden slat benches we used to have, because folks can move them around as needed, and nobody... More

As others have noted, you might pass this place by after taking in the mid-20th Century facade. That would be a mistake. The rooms are large, the beds firm and confortable, the television modern with a wide selection of channels. We were greeted at the front desk with a warm Wyoming welcome and a young woman who told gave us... More

Thank you for your review! We are very lucky to have the staff we have this summer. They are great people, cheerful and hardworking and I couldn’t ask for better. We have 2 Chinese exchange students working with us this summer as well, and they say “we are like family”. We are glad you enjoyed your room, and we appreciate... More

This was our last night on vacation. Was a little least of the way the place looked on the outside. When I got inside I could not have been more impressed. The rooms were very large with comfortable pillows and mattresses. Our room had a great view of a creek with a camping area. The staff was very nice and... More

Thank you for your review! Our place is about 55 years old or so, and it takes some adventure in the soul of the traveler to stay in a place that isn’t, as one traveler put it, a “chain sprawl McRoom”. I keep joking that we should ask to be put on the National Register of Historic Places. We like... More

While this motel looks like a 50s or 60s throwback, fear not. Inside, our room was clean, modern and comfortable, and included a refrigerator and microwave. The clerk at the front desk was friendly. We stayed in room 112, which had a king bed, and a nice view out the window. Definitely recommend this motel.

Thank you for your review! We are definitely throwback architecture (1958, ’59 or ’61, depending on what retired contractor you talk to). Your room was on what we refer to as “The Boardwalk” which is 3 or 4 steps up, but I think those rooms have the best views. A couple of the ground floor riverview rooms have a great... More

Here's CA girl, out in the land of "chain sprawl mcRooms" vs "sad, pathetic Bates Motel" lodging choices. And we find Holiday Lodge. Clean, cheerful (you'll get it after a couple of cheap motel stays), peaceful, rejuvenating after camping. Walking distance to good food. View of River and beavers. Smells fine. Not sad. Stay here.

Hi CA girl, and thanks for your review. I LOVED the description "chain sprawl mcRooms"! It made me laugh! We are certainly not corporate and never will be. My Dad and Mom told us years ago when we started in the business and I was all worried about being like the chains, that lots of folks are just looking for... More

We stayed at the Holiday Lodge on our way home from the Grand Tetons. It's about 3 hours from the east entrance to the Tetons. The hotel itself is not anything special - but what I liked about this hotel is it felt straight out of the 1960's. It looks and feels like a 1960's hotel but the owners have... More

Thank you for your review! You have the era of our little motel correct. Depending on what retired contractor you talk to, the place opened in either ’58, ’59, or ’61. We made up some post cards with vintage pictures we found when we bought the place, and when we had the folks that managed the motel back in the... More

Our queen room was large, very clean, and quiet. The owners are warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. There's a fridge and microwave in the room with coffee, tea, juice, and sweet rolls available in the lobby in the morning. A short walk to downtown Lander will get you to some good dinner options. We'll stay here... More

Thank you for your review! We’re really glad you enjoyed your stay. Lander has some great dinner places, the Gannett Grill (pub food, and you can get a microbrew too), the Hitching Rack (great steaks and burgers) a new place called Sego (we’ve only eaten there once, so far, but it was good) and a family style diner called the...
