Although the Anvil Motel has received mediocre reviews, we loved the location(in town and within walking distance of everything) and the helpful recommendations from the staff. The motel is not high end but the beds were very comfortable and the room was adequately appointed to meet the needs of most travelers. This motel is old, dumpy, very expensive with limited parking spaces. The room was very small but clean and comfortable. There was an old mini-fridge (that I wouldn't have trusted with food but was good for keeping drinks cold) and an old microwave that we never used. My husband and I needed a couple of separate nights in Jackson, wanted to be able to walk to town....and did not want to pay a fortune for luxurious linens etc. This place is very convenient to the square and shops/restaurants. Our room was small, basic and clean. Great value more
