Although the Anvil Motel has received mediocre reviews, we loved the location(in town and within walking distance of everything) and the helpful recommendations from the staff. The motel is not high end but the beds were very comfortable and the room was adequately appointed to meet the needs of most travelers. The rate was also very reasonable considering the location.... more

This motel is old, dumpy, very expensive with limited parking spaces. I booked this room in January for the middle of July and had to pay immediately BUT when we got there, we got a small crowded old room around the corner from the office, down a public sidewalk and up some stairs! The sheets and towels were old and... more

The room was very small but clean and comfortable. There was an old mini-fridge (that I wouldn't have trusted with food but was good for keeping drinks cold) and an old microwave that we never used. The bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable and there is a lot of helpful literature on the table. The toilet didn't have much in... more

My husband and I needed a couple of separate nights in Jackson, wanted to be able to walk to town....and did not want to pay a fortune for luxurious linens etc. This place is very convenient to the square and shops/restaurants. Our room was small, basic and clean. Great value more

On a road trip to Yellowstone, we stopped in Jackson with no reservations. Just driving around town, we saw the Anvil and there was parking (not too much, but enough for my Yukon XL on this trip). I ran in and inquired about vacancy and they had a room! And, it was extremely reasonably priced. Although it was just at... more

We arrived in Jackson Hole, as usual, with no reservations and were able to secure only one night at our chosen hotel. Because we wanted a second night in town before heading south, we roamed the streets of Jackson, asking at every hotel we could find, and they all told us the same thing - No Vacancy. Finally, we approached... more

We chose to stay at the Anvil because of it's proximity to downtown Jackson. We attend the antler auction and RMEF banquet each May, and this was our first - and last - stay at the Anvil. When I called for reservations I asked for adjoining rooms because of teenagers we would have with us. When we checked in the... more

We have just returned from the USA. We stayed at this hotel for two nights. I booked this hotel as this was all I could find available in the town for our dates. From the minuite it was booked I had doubts. When we arrived they were confirmed. The gentleman at reception barely offered a greeting, a few 'grunts' and... more
