We enjoyed our stay there. Room was clean, no smoke smell, excellent location in walking distance to most downtown interests. Parking is tight but tolerable unless you have an extended cab long bed truck. If I am back in Jackson in the future, I will stay there again if they have a room available. more

The property location is very good. The hotel needs major renovations. The carpets were in very bad condition. I would not walk on carpet with bare feet. The flooring under the carpet needs repaired. the boards actually are lumpy under the carpet. The mattresses were lumpy and you would roll to the center of the bed. more

Although the Anvil Motel has received mediocre reviews, we loved the location(in town and within walking distance of everything) and the helpful recommendations from the staff. The motel is not high end but the beds were very comfortable and the room was adequately appointed to meet the needs of most travelers. This motel is old, dumpy, very expensive with limited parking spaces. My husband and I needed a couple of separate nights in Jackson, wanted to be able to walk to town....and did not want to pay a fortune for luxurious linens etc. This place is very convenient to the square and shops/restaurants. Our room was small, basic and clean. Great value more
