We needed a one-night stay on a Saturday. We called around and everyone was full. I found this hotel, located within two blocks of town square and expected the worst because they had a room left. The corridor to our room is unlit but manageable, our room was small but very comfortable, good bed. We enjoyed our stay, especially the... More

I came to Jackson Hole primarily to ski but preferred to stay in town in favor of making the most our of the entire tourist experience. The inflated costs of Jackson Hole quickly added up - transportation, lift tickets, food, etc. It's virtually impossible to find a bargain in town - that is, except for this hotel. While there, I... Located right in the center of the historic old town. Not a modern hotel. Room rather cramped but adequate. Breakfast rather skimpy - no seating - pick up a pre-packaged muffin, a yogurt, a bar, an apple and a coffee and retire to your room. Nice thick towels replaced everyday. Had no bear spray to lend.

Recently spent 3 days at this motel. The location is great, downtown. However the motel is in need of some up grades. The rooms are small. The outside stairway to the room was unlit, making it dangerous to negotiate in the dark. The lobby is very small also, making the breakfast area a "to go" breakfast, with all prepackaged food.... We liked it. It felt like a vintage lodge and for under $100 it was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything we used was clean. It's not fancy but I'd have no problem staying there again. Ps..Check out the bison head on the wall in the office!

May be clean, but it's like something out of the 60's or 70's. This was the most expensive hotel on our 10 day vacation. Our other hotels were BW Plus, with warm breakfasts, internet and costing a lot less. Thank goodness we were only there 1 night. The only favorable thing was the short walk to the center of town.... We were camping at Jenny Lake Campground, which has no showers. They advertise in the campground bathroom that there are showers at Anvil Motel for $6. The showers are in the basement of the hotel in an abandoned youth hostel. It is filthy, creepy, falling apart, dirty, smelly, poorly lit, has mice, and very poor water pressure (trickle). Had I... Very basic room, no confort and not very clean. It was ok for one night! Not more! Breakfast doesn't exist, they give you a plastic cup where you can do you nescafe or tea with a muffin if you are lucky that they are not finish yet! I will not go back.

The location cannot be beat, but the motel itself is dated and bare bones. The room was small, but clean with few amenities. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows belong on a couch and not a bed. It was fine for one short night, but I wouldn't be comfortable there for a longer stay.

Paid $6 for the scariest shower I've ever taken in the moldy, mildewy, scary bowels of this place. NEVER AGAIN. They seem to dump old, broken-down furniture here. After the shower, I got in the car and slathered hand sanitizer on my feet.
