We choose the Goosewing Ranch because of its wide variety of activities and the fact that they accommodated a partial week stay, which fit our itinerary best. The week of our stay proved to be a rainy one, which made the drive in a bit tough, as portions of dirt road leading to the ranch were quite slippery. However, it... More

We traveled to Goosewing Ranch with our 12 year old daughter. This was our second visit. We live in a "horsey" community in Massachusetts and our daughter would love a horse. We are not getting a horse! So what better way to experience being on a horse than a dude ranch out west. The location is remote and you are... More

What can I say?! We flew in and were greeted with open arms, Sara(loves hugs) met us at the airport, drove us in and gave us all the local history and gossip. We had missed our flight and were running a day late but Amy(official sweetheart/head honcho) made sure our trip wasn't ruined. She moved our cabin and comped an... More

For my 60th birthday my sons surprised me with a trip to Goosewing Ranch. I can't say enough about how polite and great the guides were. The food was delicious and was enough for a real ranch hand. We did some skeet shootin', tamohawk knife throwing, fly fishing and best of all horse back riding at night watching the sunset... More

What can I say about Goosewing Ranch. Most incredible place ever. The breathtaking scenery and beautiful ranch are reason enough to visit. The staff was wonderful. Our wrangler Darby was an awesome tour guide to the besutiful Gros Ventre Valley. Food was top notch and they fed you with cowboy sized portions. Every cabin came with a side by side... More

This was the most expensive place I have ever stayed at in my entire life and it was NOT worth it. The grumpy owner was full of things we couldn't do and constantly questioning what we did, even going as far as accusing kids over 21 of drinking. The food was not as good as a Denny's, ranging from undercooked... More

We take all our guests reviews and comments very seriously. This is how we have improved the amenities, activities, and the overall ranch experience over the years, and it shows based on the other reviews we receive. It is unfortunate when one of our guests doesn't enjoy the resort ranch lifestyle and activities offered. But, we do thank you for... More

We spent 4 days at Goosewing Ranch in late June and it was just brilliant. Where do I start. It is a horse lovers paradise. The horses are gorgeous, safe, well behaved, some have a little more spirit than others and they are matched to riding abilities. It is possible therefore to do both fast and slow rides and also... Goosewing Ranch was a great experience for our whole family. As a bunch of novice horse back riders, Goosewing trained us to ride horses with confidence. While we were not expert horsemen by the time the week ended, we were very competent to ride long distances and varying speeds. Positives: * Location: It's hike from the Jackson airport but well... We had a great visit starting with a 2 day pack trip and ending with 4 days on the ranch. Incredibly friendly staff and great food, lots to do and very comfortable cabins. Very professional wranglers who always put safety first. Highly recommended for groups of friends and or families.
