We stayed at this motel coming home from Denver. We were very impressed with the motel for an older motel. It was well kept up, clean and very well priced. They also give you breakfast at Penny's diner next door. more

If you need a place to stay in Green River, this place will work. I wasn't bothered by other guests, as some of the other reviewers seem to have been, but it's clear that tourist guests are a secondary concern here. The location is convenient--just a few feet from I-80 on the west end of town. The diner, owned by... more

We selected this lodging because it was AAA-rated and the tripadvisor reviews. There are multiple buildings so it’s a little spread out if you need to walk to the office for anything. I think each of the buildings were 2 story with no elevators, but they have ice and drink machines. The hotel staff was friendly, and we also received... more

This hotel is used primarily by the Engineers/Conductors who work for the Union Pacific Railroad to sleep while away from home. You'll see plenty of train crews here outside smoking and joking away at all hours of the day. Be sure to ask the front desk staff for a "commercial room" so you'll be sure to have a room that... more

I needed a hotel for a week-long stay, and all of the reviews on tripadvisor.com led me to believe that the Oak Tree Inn would be quite satisfactory. Unfortunately, what I consider decent must differ from what others consider decent. The hotel staff was friendly. I was handed an odd little stapled brown bag upon check-in which I discovered contained... more

We stopped at Green River en route from SLC to Laramie. The town's a little desolate but, we believe, there aren't many other hotel options available. On our way we drove the Mirror Lake Scenic Highway passed snow and beautiful views, visited Evanston for provisions close by I84 and called in at Fort Bridger, just missing the annual Pony Express... more

Green River is a small town in Wyoming, known mostly for its connections to the railroad. We visited as part of a trip around Utah, Colorado and Wyoming, it was pictures taken at Green River that first inspired my fiancés interest in American trains several years ago. We booked the motel through ebookers, and when we arrived the receptionist said... more

We were on our way to Yellowstone and looked for a place stay that would break the trip from Vail. All the hotels in Rock Spings were full and based upon other reviews, we chose to stay in the Oak Tree Inn. First, one might find the constant inflow and outflow of people into the Inn a bit disconcerting. However,... more

Booked the motel as a one night stop on our way from Yellowstone to Vail...no reviews to be found, so we were holding our breath when we arrived at the Oak Tree... Green River (we discovered) was created to look after the railroad as there's a big junction there - an interesting Green River factoid! The train drivers/engineers need a... more
