This is a good HIE with large, clean, comfortable rooms. It is in good condition with the exception of the carpet in the elevator, which needs to be replaced. The breakfast was good and the attendant kept everything well stocked and made everyone feel welcome. more

After having stayed at quite a few HIXs this is one of the better ones. Clean and quiet. Great staff and above average breakfast bar. Hotel is becoming a little worn but the staff more than makes up for a few rough edges. I spent two months there in August and October and it couldn't have been more pleasant. more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Douglas on our way to Mount Rushmore. We always like staying at Holiday Inn Express-but this one was even better than our normal stays. The rooms were fancier, with extra pillows and covers on the beds. The beds were extra comfy. We loved it. more

Very nice hotel for the price. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was good for a hotel free breakfast. American hotels can not match the free breakfasts that come with most European hotels, but this one was way above other American hotels of similar price. more
