We were on a road trip crossing Bighorns and heading on West to Cody. This inn is right on the path to Shell falls and Cody, but a little out in beautiful nowhere country. The staff was very nice and we shared the inn with hunters and ATV enthusiasts. We thought the food the restaurant served was terrific and tons... More

Comfortable, quick check in and a herd of elk on the side of the mountain out the front door. Beautiful trout streams in every direction, what more can you want? Saw moose everyday and other wildlife also. The room was clean and comfortable, there was a small game room upstairs and the pool always seemed available and warm. They rent... More

It was a rainy cloudy day. We were on an excursion to Shell Falls and it was taking us into the noon hour so we decided to stop somewhere for lunch. This was a great find for lunch. This was in May and everything was just starting to come to life after the winter months. We actually ate in the... More

Despite the name, we didn't see any wildlife! However the accommodation itself was adequate, especially for the remote location. Didn't eat at the restaurant so can't comment on that, but the menu looked ok, and reasonably priced. Disappointed that the wifi was not available in the room, but you could get a signal in the reception area.

We traveled through the Big Horn Mountains and stopped at the Elk View Inn for a bite of lunch, the restaurant was beautiful and clean, surprised us. We split a Cobb salad and the buffalo burger with sidewinders. Perfect is all I can say. The burger was nice and juicy and the sidewinders - crispy on the outside and nice... More

Stayed 3 days. Room was filthy not vacuumed in the time we stayed. Bathroom not cleaned mouse droppings and hair all over floor. Sink had spots of toothpaste all over. Rode all day and came back to shower at 530 to go out for dinner and had to wait. They were just coming around at that time to pick up... More

I was very disappointed in this hotel. The carpet had not been vacuumed and crumbs were next to the dresser and night stand. Also there was something sticky on my nightstand so I had to clean it. If it had not been so late and we were tired we would have left. The walls are like paper and the kids... More

We popped into the Elk View for a coffee to break up our journey and were very impressed with the staff and the view. We had booked into the Best Western in Sheraton but when we arrived we found it to be like a scene from Breaking Bad so refused to stay as they wouldn't or couldn't change our allocated... More

We towed our SxS to the big horns for adventure and fun. We had that and more the room was clean ( the toilet seat needed replaced) but other than that the needs were comfortable after a long day of riding we spent very little time at the lodge during the day. We don't spend time in the pool or... More

We spent two weeks at the Elk View Inn in order to do geological field work. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff were all kind and helpful. Ed especially went out of his way to make our stay a good one. The food was the best on the mountain and not over-priced. We ordered sack lunches... More
