We had a wonderful visit to the Absaroka Mountain Lodge in September, and we do not have any complaints about the staff at all. The owners were very pleasant and very helpful, and we enjoyed every minute of our time there. We met great people staying there and enjoyed conversations with our fellow travelers, and we couldn't ask for a... more

It is truly impossible for me to understand the previous two reviews as it doesn't ring true at all by our experience. At the end of our week at Absaroka Mountain Lodge my husband and I felt as if we were leaving family behind. Prior to our arrival, email communications with Theresa and Kerry Boyd (owners) were always answered promptly... more

We made reservations for this lodge back in February of 2009 and the wife - Teri could not have been nicer. She took our reservation and told us all about the wonderful activities for children/teens - which are also listed on their website and in their brochures. Nightly campfires and sing alongs, weekly bbq's and cookouts on Sundays and Wednesdays... more

My family did a lot of research before booking a 3 night stay in August at Absaroka Lodge. I booked our cabin almost a year in advance and put down a $250 deposit. Early in the Summer I noticed on their site that they were offering $10 a night discounts on their cabins. I assumed they would honor the reduced... more

After hitting the vacation trail pretty hard for 6 days throughout the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, we arrived at Absaroka Mountain Lodge. Here we were forced to slow down our pace a bit. The morning's adventurous breakfast trail ride allowed us to see more of the gorgeous mountain scenery. No boring flat trails on this ride! The wranglers were expert... more

Hubby and I spent two nights here and enjoyed meeting folks around the camp fire. Staff were very friendly. The relaxing sound of the creek running by takes the place of tv, phone or the city life. Was in bed by at least 9:00 with a book both nights. Hubby was not pleased with the trout he ate in resturant,... more

My family and I have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Absaroka Mountain Lodge. We loved it. The family run ranch was very accommodating to us. We loved the cabin and the atmosphere. The location, while close to the East Entrance, is still an hour drive to Fishing Bridge within Yellowstone Park. It was easy to get... more

Location was great, room was rustic, but as expected. We arrived in afternoon & went for a short walk around the place,we felt it was a bit run down looking . Ordered a well done steak for dinner it arrived almost pumping blood,I sent it back but couldn't eat the steak as it was way overdone. The manager wouldn't reduce the bill... more

The setting is beautiful and convenient (12 miles from the Eastern entrance to Yellowstone), with cozy cabins along the Gunbarrel Creek. My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary there and the Boyd family couldn't have been more welcoming. The main lodge was very Western and atmospheric and we had a fantastic steak and Caesar salad for dinner in the... more
