It is about 1 hour from Cody, WY to East Entrance. If coming from the east (South Dakota) Take Hwy 16 from Buffalo down to Worland, to Cody, WY. Not as steep grades as Hwy 14, Beautiful Scenery from Buffalo to Worland. FILL UP IN BUFFALO!!! There are some resorts along the way but you pay way more for gas....... More

We arrived late for a two day stay at Cody as a cheaper entry point to Yellowstone (which would be a bit easier if west road to old faithful was open!). There were quite a few people in cabins but no one braving the chill to camp, so we picked a spot that we liked and set up. There are... More

Wonderful campground with nice accommodations . Their staff went out of their way to meet my needs when I had to arrive late. They were pleasant and extremely helpful when I needed directions to places in Cody.

After a previous (poor) KOA - was hoping for an improvement, and Cody KOA delivered. The free pancakes was a bonus. We didn't spend much time at the KOA - kids enjoyed the pool, tired themselves out - what more can parents want !

We visited Yellowstone National Park at the end of September. The KOA was preparing to close for the season in about a week, but you would never have known it from the staff. We continued to receive excellent service. As others have mentioned, this is a park that is practically in the desert, so don't expect a lot of lush... More

I stayed in a 2-room cabin (no bathroom) with my 3-year old son. I was pleasantly surprised that the cabin was spotless, had a porch with a rocking chair and porch swing, and was relatively close to the bathrooms. My son had so much fun swimming and playing while we were there. It was the perfect spot to play and... More

Stayed for two nights of camping with my 8 year old daughter. The campsites were adequate and clean. The pancake breakfast was a hit for sure...the pancakes are free, but there is a nominal charge for beverages and sausage (by no means outrageous). My daughter had a blast jumping on the bouncing pillow, swimming in the pool, and playing with... More

One thing I can say about KOA in general is that they know about the traveller. And I, as a frequent camper, car traveller, and experienced tourist truly appreciate all of the hard work and care these people put into keeping their sites clean, safe, comfortable and fun. The Cody KOA was no exception. Excellent facilities, really nice staff, well... More

This is fine for one night, on your way to another place. Dirty, dusty, not many trees. A LOT of tent camping. They do offer a pancake breakfast. We pulled out of camp too early to voice our opinion on this feature. The staff was friendly.
