Greetings Folks, Do NOT stay at the Irma - it is a disgusting dump run by unprofessional yokels. The Short of It: Room was noisy - near the kitchen. It was an interior room w/ a window that had a cement wall two feet away - not sure how this could possibly meet the fire codes. NOTE: the rooms use... more

Whilst there’s no doubt that this hotel has a lot going for it with its location, background and ambience, there is a need for it to drop the sense of ‘take it or leave it’ We’d booked well in advance and arrived tired, needing help with the baggage. There isn’t a lift and the young lady on reception just shrugged... more

My wife and I recently stayed one night at the Irma on our way to Yellowstone. One night was more than enough. The lady that checked us in could have cared less if we stayed there or not. We stayed in the regular section of the hotel to save a few bucks so we didn't get to see the historic... more

We ran through Yellowstone from Sturgis with a stop over in Cody. Although a little overpriced and touristy, we really enjoyed our stay in Cody and at the Irma. We stayed in the Irma Suite. The property was clean and well maintained. The decor was interesting, the bar was fun and the prime rib dinner was fantastic. If you need... more

We recently stayed in the Buffalo Bill suite at the Irma Hotel with our two sons. We were very pleased with the suite and the history in it. The kids got a kick out of the sink with two faucets and wondered how you get warm water. The toilet was really cool with the wooden tank above and the pull... more

Spent two nights in the historic portion of the hotel during a 15 day family vacation. This was the worst place we stayed. Arrived at 6:15pm and had to park two streets away as all parking was taken. At check in I asked were to park in order to unload luggage and was told to come back after 8:30pm when... more

The room was nice and clean; kids loved the old-timey bathroom! Walk to most anything in downtown Cody, including the Buffalo Bill Historical Center - also great! Meals were wonderful in historic dining room! "Gun fight" outside in the evening was fun but a little loud for little kids! Nice people! Internet access was VERY slow though. more

First of all you have to realize what you're getting into. I didn't and the year was prior to my discovering tripadvisor. It looks as if nothing has changed and this is a shame in that the Irma has huge potential. Everything stated previously is true - shabby, run down, smoky, cheesy gunfight - but it was clean and the... more

Returned from the Irma Hotel about a month ago. We visited right before a huge biker convention was due in town, which might be the reason that everything portable, including pictures on the wall, had been removed. What was left of room decor was early Salvation army with absolutely no charm. A mix of formica tables and early American beds.... more

We stayed in a Victorian room at The Irma Hotel, but we were disappointed at how ordinary it was. True, the building was built by Buffalo Bill Cody, so there are generally interesting features in the public areas, but our room had common furniture, not at all Victorian, and a barely-acceptable bathroom with a linoleum floor. Considering that this is... more
