We had 4 wonderful nights at the Irma..a beautiful and unique historical hotel...so what if it doesn't have an alarm clock..bring your own if you need it. The dining room is awesome and food delicious...would definitley stay there again. more

The room we stayed in was one of the 'historic' rooms. I guess that means they put some cowboys name on the door. We didn't see any of the other rooms. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The 'water closet' , the radiator, and the old desk and dresser were the only things in the room that... more

Thank God, we only stayed for one night at Buffalo Bill's historic Irma Hotel at Cody, Wyoming. Unfortunately we got a room with a view onto a brick-lined wall at arm's lenght and adjacent to the restaurant kitchen. The kitchen's rattling air conditioning - or whatever that rusty funnel near our window served for - run nearly all the time.... more

Dh and I ate here a few weeks ago. The hotel is lovely; full of history and rustic charm. The dining room was especially neat to see, with the bison heads and the bar. Food was very good, too. We ordered off the menu since it was only 4:00 pm, and the buffet didn't start for an hour. Both of... more

The drive from the East gate of Yellow Stone National Park to Cody is very senic. Make sure to do the drive during the day time to take advantage of the beautiful landscape. Cody celebrates the history of the old wild west. Plan to spend a couple of days there to take in the museums, Rodeo, and great food. The... more

The Irma is a flash back in time, but the breakfast buffet is the best you can find in Cody. It doesn't take much imagination to see history in Cody's famous hotel (made famous by Buffalo Bill)/ The environment is clean, well-serviced, with good lighting and acoustics. The food at the buffet is very good. The bread pudding with whiskey... more

Needed an overnight near to Yellowstone for a 6AM start to get through Yellowstone before the tailbacks started. We had stayed in Cody in November 2002 and had dinner at the Irma which was good then. No comparison with the crowds of mid August - the dining room smelt nauseatingly of old frying oil and was pretty full so we... more

We made reservations in January 2009 for three rooms, the expensive ones($157), for Aug. 1, 2009. We arrived at 4pm that day and were told they had no rooms for us because some people had decided to stay an extra night and they had our rooms. After much heated argument, they decided they could "squeeze" in one room and they... more
