Stayed here for two nights on our recent road trip. We had cabin 8 which had a kitchenette and the most spectacular 180 degree views of the mountains and reservoir. The cabin was very clean and well appointed and there was a nice deck to sit out at night and gaze at the stars including the Milky Way as there... More

The accommodation at the Red Pole Ranch is chalet/lodges which are furnished to a high standard with comfy beds, thick carpet and well appointed bathroom. There was a fridge, microwave & toaster in the room so we were able to make breakfast before spending a day in Yellowstone. The cabin also had heating in the main room & bathroom which... More

We couldn't stay there because we had a dog and they don't allow pets (understandable at a guest ranch, because dogs tend to spook horses). Some friends stayed there and we visited them. Their cabin was really great, and the scenery is just out of this world. It almost made me wish we'd left the dog at home.

Patty Jo runs the place and makes you feel like favorite family members. Rooms are clean, comfortable and individually decorated, a welcome break from the anonymity of chain hotels. The location about a half mile off the highway overlooking the Cody reservoir at the foot of the mountains has simply spectacular views. Herd of antelope was grazing just across the... More

I can't think of a negative thing to say about this place. Everything was clean comfortable and we'll kept. Great views and great location. This will be where we stay if ever in area again. Would have loved to meet the owners but the caretaker was very friendly and pleasant.

We stayed here on our way to Yellowstone in August 2014. We had been on the road for 10 hours and very tired. Patty Jo was so bright and cheerful and lifted us out of our "tired mode". The cabin was very clean and we sat and enjoyed an evening coffee on the outdoor chairs enjoying the beautiful views. I... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on our travels from South Dakota to Yellowstone. We walked into the cabin and immediately fell in love. We had unit #8 which had firm comfortable beds, a king size bed, bunk beds (worked great for our 2 boys), kitchenette with 2 fridges, stovetop, even stocked some food staples in the cupboards. Had a... More

My family and I had spent the day at Yellowstone and really needed an affordable nice place. This was exactly that. Our room was very clean and homey. We just loved the cabins and decorations. The service was really great! And we even got to see deer grazing right out front. It's a little out of the way but definitely... More

We stayed two nights. The place was at full occupancy but I would have never guessed. Our room was quiet even though we had a family right next door. Absolutely no road noise. Sad to say the smoke from the western fires limited our views but it was still spectacular. Peggy Jo, the owner, is a treasure, probably the most... More

Her name is PATTY Jo, and I too know what a TREASURE she is-I am married to her!! Sure wish we could have gotten that OTHER STAR from you folks-Patty works so hard for it! The smoke was coming from Canada (brought here by the natural wind currents from the North), and kind've "out of our control", and the remoteness... More

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Yellowstone National Park. We stayed at this quiet, clean motel for two nights and it was perfect! Motel is located between Yellowstone and the beautiful town of Cody, Wyoming. We stopped at the Buffalo Bill dam on the way to Cody and it was amazing. great trip! We highly recommend this... More
