Our oldest son was working on a cattle ranch in Montana after his year at college, and with little preparation or planning, my wife and I decided we would take the family (two additional teenagers 14 and 17) out west for a "Family Vacation". Scrambling around for a plan I was lucky enough to call Kenny, who just happened to... More

We ( two adults and two teenagers) travelled from England in the hope of an authentic dude ranch experience and enjoyed a tremendous three days which more than met our expectations. Kenny Long and his family were warm and welcoming hosts supported by a delightful group of enthusiastic staff. It really felt as if we had been invited to join... More

I can't say enough about this place or recommend it too highly. My family spent 4 nights at the ranch, inclusive of meals and horseback riding, fly fishing, and Yellowstone adventures. Meals were ample and hearty, all American style, and everything was homemade. The owners Kenny and Laura and their sons Justin and Garrett made us feel like extended family... More

A trip of a lifetime! Bottom line (if you don’t want to read this long review): We recently returned from a trip to Cody WY where we spent a week at the Crossed Sabres Ranch. It was an absolutely fantastic week and we would unequivocally recommend it. If you are looking for a dude ranch in Wyoming, this is the... More

My family just completed a three night stay at Crossed Sabres and cannot reccommend it enough. We visited about half of the guest ranches between Yellowstone and Cody (I understand there are 15 total), and this was definitely the best location - wide open spaces, beautiful views, little creek down the center of the property that served as peaceful background... If you are looking at any reviews from 2+ years ago, disregard them completely...this Ranch is under new management and "service is number 1". As an active family, we decided to try to take on a dude ranch, and we had no idea what an incredible experience that we would have. Not only was the new management (Kenny and Laura... More

One of my long time friend and I take a vacation every year. This year was on a dude ranch. How fortunate we were to stay at Crossed Sabres Ranch. I give this ranch a 5-star across the board. From the time Kenny Long (new owner) picked us up at the airport to the day we left, we had THE... More

We stayed five days at the newly managed ranch. We decided upon this ranch by calling ahead to inquire about the style of riding. When we were told it would NOT be "nose to tail" trail riding, we booked. The horses were some of the best stable horses we have ever ridden. The horses are responsive, well trained and well... More

Great setting with a stream right by the cabins. The owner, Kenny, was great about communicating along the way and gave us a nice description of the interesting history of his ranch. A quick drive to Yellowstone's east entrance, and pretty sights along that short drive as well. Cabins were clean and well kept during our stay. Would definitely stay... More

We stumbled upon the ranch on our way to Yellowstone, looking for lodging. What luck! We were on a six-week road trip around the US and this was definitely the best place that we stayed, and one of the best experiences of our vacation. The new owners offered limited services but more than made up for it by offering suggestions... More
