My husband and I stayed at Windy Hills at the end of June, 2013. We were only able to stay one night, and our only wish is that we could have stayed longer! There was a bit of construction in the area so it was a little tricky to find, but definitely worth it. We were greeted by the owner,... More

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We did not have a hard time finding it,just make sure you have a navigation system or google maps to find it. We had 2 dogs with us so we had a room in the South Spa house. We overlooked Curt Gowdy State park and Granite Lake. Magnificent. The room could not have... More

Windy Hills was tricky to find but did not disappoint. From the room to the view and breakfast, too - all was perfect! The CD player was a nice touch in our room, too. We slept very comfortably. Hiked the grounds and saw an owl. Truly enjoyed Cooki and her brother, too! Great folks. We highly recommend a stay at... More

I travel frequently for work. While my trip to Windy Hills was for a needed vacation, I cannot rave enough about the simply gorgeous accommodations. Located just 20 minutes from Cheyenne or Laramie. Windy Hills is not box hotel room. I felt at home here. There are several lodging options at Windy Hills to have a kitchen and bedroom. Windy... More

My husband surprised me with a night at the Windy Hills Guest House located between Cheyenne and Laramie Wyoming. We were cordially met at the door by Cooki who showed us around the property. We decided to stay in the Spa Room with a private hot tub on a deck with a mountain view overlooking Granite Reservoir. The room was... More

Our late afternoon arrival to the guest home didn't come soon enough as it is about 45 minutes from Cheyenne where we came from. The sign on the road was down at the highway entrance because of road work. It was very difficult to locate as it was down a hill and not visible from the road. After we found... More

This place is the perfect place to get away for a few days if you live in Cheyenne or Laramie. My wife and I went rented a spa house for our wedding night because we didn't have the time to get very far from Laramie. The place was clean and cozy and the hot tub was lots of fun. In... More

I'm shocked by negative reviews by obvious "spoiled & pampered" folks! Windy Hills is not supposed to be perfect. Cookie & her husband were as accommodating as possible. The place was fantastic and it was the peace and quiet we wanted. They, like all of us, are trying to survive this touch recession. Enjoy their dream with them..... Stay at... More

We stayed at Windy Hills with our extended family for 3 days. We were the only guests. It is a beautiful location, with a view of the lake, and a nice waterfall /patio area. Many of the other amenities we were looking forward to using were not made available to us: boating, kayaking, canoeing, volleyball, steam room, on-site laundry. The fold... More
