First of all, if you plan on sleeping in Cheyenne you better get a reservation. We arrived later in evening without reservations! No vacancies in first three stops then went to Travelocity and found last room available and went ahead and paid then made our way here. First the lady said they did not have a room and Travelocity does... More

Ever pay $30 for a cookie? Just curious, last night I had the choice between a known brand hotel and a basic hotel I had never stayed at before. One was advertising $104 and the other $99 - not a huge margin of difference, so I first went with the known brand hotel, who then informed me the cost would... More

The "front desk" is located in a diner across the parking lot from the hotel (which did make for a fabulous "continental breakfast," the really only redeeming quality of this property). When we got to our room, someone was already in there, which wasn't really surprising based on a filing system that just looked like a shoebox of papers. It... More

First off finding the office was strange because it was in the diner across the parking lot and where you would pay your meal tab. Second off, they did not have our reservation which was made 5 mos. ahead of time. Third off, they seemed shocked that our reservation price was quoted quite low when in fact it was the... More

Stopped here just overnight during a recent trip from Denver to the Black Hills. Room was small, but clean, nicely furnished, and had a refrigerator. On the down side, management was a bit disorganized. Made the reservation by phone, received a booking number but no e-mail confirmation. When I called a week later to inquire, they could find no record... More

We did not stay at the Oak Tree Inn in Cheyenne WY, even though we had pre-paid confirmed reservations through hotel.com, the hotel management did not honor our reservation. The attitude given by the hotel management was “Oh Well – It’s your problem.” It was very strange to deal with the Hotel Management in the Diner next to the hotel.... More

The hotel is clean and our room was excellent. Check in was a bit odd as it takes place in the diner which is situated on the parking lot. The receptionist had gone for a ciggie break so we had to wait ten minuites for her to come and check us in. After driving all day this wasn't very proffesional.... More

The beds are so cheap there is no way to wake up without a backache. The room appeared clean, but the DNA visible on the desk chair was pretty bad. There was no notepad or pen in the room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Having to check in at the nearby restaurant was not conducive to prompt check-in.... More

As the title implies, the beds were very comfortable and the shower was very nice. The room could have been cleaner though as the coffee pot (mug) was dirty with dried on coffee, windows and window ledges were VERY dirty and the floor was not properly vacuumed. As stated in previous reviews, the diner had good food, was nostalgic and... More
