We weren't planning on stopping in Cheyenne, but due to the road closing we had to.. We chose the Hitching Post Inn for the price. You really can't beat a room with 2 beds for under $50.00. The room was very large, the beds were not terrible. It did look closed down from the road, so more outside lighting would... More

For $50 you get what you pay for. Two queen beds in a large room with fridge and microwave. Don't waste time on breakfast. One expired honeybun, expired milk and toast was all we found at 8am. There is plenty of room for trucks, but they don't plow well-so be careful.

I think the room would have been adequate for a one night stay (which this was), except for one detail: In the dead of winter, in Cheyenne, WY, this room was not adequately HEATED. In the bathroom, in the morning, I could see my breathe. During my stay we were having zero and subzero temps anyway. I was miserable and... More

We specifically looked for this hotel as their online listing said they took pets and had a continental breakfast. The lighted sign for the hotel had some burned out letters so it said "Hitchin_ Po_t In_. We drove into the driveway and ended up behind some other buildings. We thought the place must be closed as it was dark outside... More

The place looked abandoned from the highway. Trash, weeds, rutted roadway, thought it was a joke. Some lights and the bath exhaust fan did not work. Outside door light not working. Entrance light switch didn't turn on any lights. Toilet flushed but wouldn't stop until I lifted the lid and fixed it. Weeds and trash all over the property even... More

I had previously stayed two years ago and this time for three days. This is an old landmark hotel in Cheyenne and there is a photo in the city museum.we liked this budget hotel for ,the ease to park outside your room, large sized room, amenities and the location close to town. The manager was very helpful in rectifying a mistake with my... More

I got a room at the Hitching Post and was unable to breathe in the room. Not sure if it was the dust or something else. I told the front desk and asked for a refund but they don't have any grace on people. I only used the room for one hour because I just couldn't take it. No refund... More

While this is an older Inn, the furnishing are nice and mostly matched; there is a Bible of which I am always appreciative of and look for upon entering the room. Heater/AC were quiet. Lots of hot water, pretty decent towels, (to me, these need to be replaced and add one more bath to each single room if two staying.... More

This facility has been through some staggering problems and catastrophes. The current management is trying to renovate and restore it, a section at a time. The rooms are among the most spacious I have seen anywhere. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. One night, noise levels were uncomfortably loud, due to rowdy guests in an adjacent room. All staff... More

We were in town on business with two semis. They have a huge semi friendly parking lot which prompted our stop here. We were met at the desk by a very friendly lady who showed us a large newly renovated room with a large bathroom. This was around 10am Saturday morning as we had been hotel shopping for a place...
