We rented three cabins this summer ranging from one of their smallest cabins to two of their larger cabins. The staff working in the restaurant/lodge area were very welcoming and accommodating. However, we were very disappointed to find a whole family of mice living in the couch of the Moose cabin. Staying in the mountains, I understand that there may... More

We did not stay here, but did take the two hour trail ride into the Big Horn Mountains. Our guide Jake was great! Very good with horses and beginner riders like us! The ride was very picturesque and fun. We forged a couple of streams and did some Forest riding that was beautiful. Small group (only six including the guide)... More

If you are looking for a cozy cabin tucked away in the mountains then I highly recommend South Fork Mountain Lodge. My family and I were traveling to Yellowstone and stayed the night there. The cabins are clean and cozy, tucked away with a stream that runs 10 feet away from the porches of the cabins! We absolutely loved it.... More

We stayed in the Cowboy cabin that sleeps 8. There were three bedrooms, one bathroom, a living area, and a dining room. There is no kitchen, but there is a microwave and mini fridge. The cabin was rustic (no tv, kitchen, etc.) but it was clean. It is conveniently located in the mountains and only 20 minutes or so from... More

We have been staying at South Fork Mountain Lodge for the past three years. It is our home away from home. The cabins are rustic, with modern amenities. The food is always home-cooked and very good. I would recommend South Fork Mountain Lodge to anyone who is looking for something off the beaten path.

We stayed in a rustic cabin for three nights, (paid for four). It was dismally dirty. Maybe the sheets were changed, but nothing else. Only place to sit in the common area was an old, dirty leather couch about one foot off the ground. Peeked under the cushions only to find debris, stains and even a dirty used sock. Not... More

We stayed at South Fork Lodge over the holiday weekend and have buyers remorse. For what was charged we didn't get the value. The cabin were small, dirty and had no kitchen to prepare food. The food served was sub par and sometimes cold. Overall the prices were not at all in line with the service and facilities.

We looked at the cabins but did not stay. We were visiting with friends in Buffalo and they took us up for lunch , read my restaurant review. It is close to hwy 16 and not secluded , the cabin list is expensive the restaurant was cluttered like they do not clean a lot and the people did not seem... More

The lodge and cabins are really geared towards people who are interested in outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, hunting, etc. Although you're not apt to spend a lot of time in your cabin, we did find ours to be very clean and comfortable. We had one of the rustic cabins, which means you had to put your shoes on... More
