Worse than terrible - how can they still be in business? We've stayed in dozens of remote locations like this and never experienced a worst night. A family of squirrels had apparently been building a home underneath the cabin we were assigned to, and made a constant racket throughout the night - we didn't sleep a wink. When we told... More

South Fork Mountain Lodge is very rustic and not for those looking for a hotel experience. Our cabin, located right on the river, was quaint and peaceful. The bathhouse is a short walk away and was well maintained. The price is high for the accommodations but the setting is hard to beat. The owners, Wayne and Holly, were very friendly... More

We stayed here the beginning of August, in the most expensive cabin ($300.00/night). It looked lovely, but when we pulled back the covers to get into bed it was full of pack rat treasure. When I showed it to the staff the next morning, they took no responsibility for not changing or checking the sheets before our arrival. I asked... More

My friend and I stayed over a Labor Day weekend at the Antelope Cabin, it has a Queen bed a couch, shower/sink/stool. We were very disappointed we could not use the fireplace as it rained most of the weekend and could only go on a morning hike; even brought our own fire wood! This cabin was not overlooking the creek... More

family of six reserved a cabin on the river. When we got there, the cabin smelled like death, there were spiders everywhere. The owners or managers would not lend a hand to correct. go somewhere else in Wyoming or South Dakota. There are plenty of places in Wyoming to enjoy the great outdoors

We rented three cabins this summer ranging from one of their smallest cabins to two of their larger cabins. The staff working in the restaurant/lodge area were very welcoming and accommodating. However, we were very disappointed to find a whole family of mice living in the couch of the Moose cabin. Staying in the mountains, I understand that there may... More

We did not stay here, but did take the two hour trail ride into the Big Horn Mountains. Our guide Jake was great! Very good with horses and beginner riders like us! The ride was very picturesque and fun. We forged a couple of streams and did some Forest riding that was beautiful. Small group (only six including the guide)... More

If you are looking for a cozy cabin tucked away in the mountains then I highly recommend South Fork Mountain Lodge. My family and I were traveling to Yellowstone and stayed the night there. The cabins are clean and cozy, tucked away with a stream that runs 10 feet away from the porches of the cabins! We absolutely loved it.... More

We stayed in the Cowboy cabin that sleeps 8. There were three bedrooms, one bathroom, a living area, and a dining room. There is no kitchen, but there is a microwave and mini fridge. The cabin was rustic (no tv, kitchen, etc.) but it was clean. It is conveniently located in the mountains and only 20 minutes or so from... More
