Stopped on a whim, and got a nice room. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Would stay here again. I liked the cabin atmosphere. Beds were nice and comfy. Plenty of things to do , and restaurants within walking distance.

My husband, myself and some friends came through Buffalo, WY on our way to Sturgis, SD in August. After pricing places out online, we decided on the Mountain View Motel. OMG, we loved it! The property consists of about a dozen cabins, looking to be as a previous poster alluded to, WWII era, painted in bright colors with flower baskets... More

This place was very unique, rustic, and affordable. Lady at the front desk who runs the place was very nice and accommodating. I liked that the rooms were their own separate cabin which were pretty neat on the inside with the exposed logs. Microwave, refrigerator, a good bathroom, HD flat screen television which not every chain has, super fast wifi,... More

What a surprise to walked into our cabin and find it so beautiful and to top it off there were mints on the pillow. Don't let the outside of the cabins fool you as the inside is wonderful. We were not looking for fancy as we were not spending a lot of time at the cabin since we were visiting... More

Mountain View Motel and Campground is primarily Cabins with 9-10 RV/camp sites added. This review is focused on the RV sites and not the motel cabins. The RV sites are gravel and level. The Wi-Fi and Cable worked very well and much better than the more expensive campgrounds we’ve stayed. The sewer and electrical hook-ups were not located with seemingly... More

My wife and and I were traveling through Buffalo and needed a place to stay with our two dogs. When booking, the reason we went with Mountain View was because the owner was the most kind and polite on the phone when calling for rates. We booked our room and received a call on our way to town to let... More

i found this place to be so relaxing , my cabin was beautiful and rustic, just what I was looking for. I love the courtyard which is surrounded by trees. Listening to the birds and watching the squirrels play. It was so very relaxing, since I was from L.A, California. I've since moved to buffalo because of my stay at... More

We ride a motorcycle all around the US and enjoy the smaller Motels. Mountain View was not cute, fun or clean! Do not stop, keep on driving ! It is over priced, the outside area is very unkept and hardest bed in the west!

Stayed here after leaving Yellowstone. Rooms are charming and wonderful. Regular strong AC unit, super powerful gas heater. TV and decent cable, awesome decor, laundry on-site, great staff and prices. Only slight complaint was slightly weak shower pressure, but whatever, stay here!

Nice lady running the place. Cabins look to be WW2 era. Could use new furniture. Shower modern, but bath area and door are small. Room needed a few things fixed. Camping on the fringes of the property, and assisted were run down and dirty. Price was good. So cabin itself is fine.
