This is one of those places you have to check out at least once in your lifetime. And it won't be once because you'll keep wanting to come back for more. There is so much to do! Great place for families or big groups. This resort caters to many different tastes and moods. There is something here for everyone, and... more

Our family of 9 traveled to Kalahari in search of a relaxing and recreational family vacation. We had 6 adults and 3 children under the age of 4 thus we stayed in the Sands Kondos village suite. The rooms layout was perfect. We had enough room for everyone to sleep and for the little ones to take afternoon naps without... more

Stayed 2 nights Thurday Mar 12 and Friday Mar 13 in a King Suite located in the Sands for about $215 per night. It had a kitchenette with a fullsize refrige/freezer combo. The group was 2 adults and an 8 year old. 2 nights was the perfect length of stay. If you visit the indoor theme park, buy the all... more

Had a large event at this hotel, and brought my family. This place has a nice waterpark, is clean, and spacious. Got a large suite with a kitch, and living room with fireplace. Very nice! more

This is our 2nd time at the Kalahari. Overall, we had a nice stay. Rooms were clean. My two boys - ages 10 & 8 loved the indoor waterpark and the new indoor theme park. Crowds were pretty thin, although the line for the "Master Blaster" was always long. Lifeguards not too friendly, but seemed competent. Noticed a few minor... more

I have stayed at the Kalahari twice. The rooms are amazing and VERY clean. The staff is very friendly. I have only been to the inside water park, but it is a lot of fun. Even when there were lines for the water slides, you still didn't have to wait that long. My only complaint is that I don't think... more

If you don't think you'll need to sleep during your stay at the Kalahari, this is the place for you. This is partly the fault of irresponsible parents, and partly the fault of the resort. There were kids ages 8-12 slamming doors in our hallway beginning about 10 p.m. and continuing to 12:30 a.m. They were playing a hide and... more

To start we had a room by the outdoor water park right by the interstate, all night long we could hear the traffic like we were outside! We paid over $400 for our room, that is not right!!!! There is no sound dampening whatsoever! At 2am none of us could sleep so I walked down to the front desk, I... more

I'm staying here for four days with three little kids. I'm so irritated that I'm writing while we're still here. Service, or lack there of, is ridiculous. Everyone borders on rude, from the waitstaff to housekeeping. I just got a knock at the door at 3:45pm. Housekeeping while my kids are decompressing after I called down twice to see if... more

When i was researching the various Dells waterpark hotels here I was a bit concerned since there were so many negative reviews - especially on room conditions. But I am happy to say my one night Spring Break stay went off perfectly. We arrived at 11:30 am and went to the check-in counter. After a 5-6 minute wait we registered... more
