Very pleasant city park! We camped here two nights while riding the Elroy-Sparta Rail-Trail. The bathrooms and showers (coin operated) were clean. The sites had electricity ($3/night). There is a pool at the edge of the campground and a playground for kids. The city library is next to the pool. We had wi-fi access when we walked to the library... More

This was an awesome find while driving through the area looking for a place near the Sparta-Elroy bike trail. There are a few others in the adjacent area but they are nothing to write home about. 1 is kind of dumpy and a pain to contact someone and the other is way over priced and hard to maneuver. BUT the... More

I used this campground as my base for a 5-day stretch. It's the halfway point on the Elroy-Sparta bike trail. The 1 st day I rode RT to Sparta, and another day did the Elroy half. No reservations needed. Mid-week it was almost empty and filled up for the weekend though there was still plenty of room for others. At... More

We camped here for two nights while riding the Elroy-Sparta trail. Our first night was nice and quiet and the campground was approximately half full. On our second night, three huge trailers appeared along with the full keg of beer. The party raged until 3am until a near vigilante group of other campers shut down the party. The danger here... I have stayed here two times with a group of parents and kids when we have biked the Elroy-Sparta bike trail, and I will likely do it again. The campground is great if you want to have a quiet, natural setting without being out in a remote wilderness far from amenities. We put our multiple tents out in the open... More

This is a great place if you are into camping, bicycling, and/or canoeing. The campground is nice. Hot showers for a quarter for 4 minutes. Cheap camping. Your choice of sites. Small campground but usually there are electric sites available except for the first weekend in August, and Labor Day, July 4, or Memorial Day. Access to Elroy-Sparta Trail is... More

The town of Wilton, WI. provides a park/campground on a first come first serve basis. Being a small campground it's best to get there early in the day, or on "off" days as being a first come first serve you take a chance at all sites being taken. It is a lovely setting in a quiet, friendly township on the... More
