This is the second time we have chosen the Trempealeau Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This review is only for the "Hotel rooms" as we have not stayed in the other accommodations. There are 8 rooms above the bar and restaurant and next to the river and very busy railroad tracks. This is not the "Plaza", Holiday Inn or even... More

I stayed here while cycling in the area. I loved the town and this hotel. It was clean and quiet and I loved hearing the riverboats as they passed by. The restaurant and bar on the ground level was first rate. The only small gripe I have about the hotel is the worn out mattress that my room had. They... More

We stayed in one of their suites, which is half of a duplex just behind the historic hotel. It was a great find and we ended staying 2 nights in early Oct. Great view of the river, overlooks the Hotel's back yard; just walk to the hotel's restaurant/bar. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is for a few missing... More

We stayed in the Doc West house (a small duplex) a few steps away from the historic hotel and its wonderful restaurant. We love this place and keep coming back for the food, view of the river and access to bike and hiking trails and orchards. Place is not for everyone...it is near railroad and you hear the trains rumble... More

Trempealeau Hotel is one of our favorite go to places. The owners have always greeted us warmly and treated us generously. We have played shows there and it has always been a great experience. We love the food and the service has been pleasant and professional. We have never been disappointed.

We stayed at the King Fisher which is part of the Trempealeau Hotel. It is a four room building on the edge of town, directly on the Mississippi. The room is modern and was clean and comfortable. We were in Unit 4 which has access to the deck and a great direct view of the river. It has more of... More

My family stays in the Pines Cottage at least once a year. We always have a great time. It's so conveniently located to the river, bike trail, Perrot State Park, everything you could want. Good food onsite. Im originally from the area, and love getting back there. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We stayed in Kingfisher Room # 1 for one night. This is about a mile away from the Trempealeau Hotel, does not have an attached office or restaurant. So, it's a real quite place. Ours was a short trip so we just needed a place to crash for the night. The room is convenient and worth the money! It's close... More

We enjoyed the food and thought it was very reasonable. There was live music on the deck and it was nice to listen to while we ate on the porch. There was a nice view of the Mississippi river and the staff was friendly. We didn't stay here, but ate here a couple times during our visit.

As the saying goes "all good things must come to a end". I've been making trips, and staying in Trempealeau for decades. When Jim and Rita owned the Inn it was THE place to go for miles around. Always accommodating, sociable and providing a fantastic atmosphere. Five stars all around. Now with the new owners this has all changed. First... More
