We booked this Inn as the nearest stay over for visiting Holkhan Hall. We arrived as a grown up family of four to be shown to interconnecting rooms, a lovely thoughtful touch. The rooms were large and well appointed, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits , reading material and comfortable reading chairs and lights. The large double bed for us was... More

We visited Holkham on a cold but sunny Sunday in December and decided to take lunch in the Victoria. We had not booked but we arrived early and they found a table for us in the very pleasant conservatory dining area. The meal was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and attentive, efficient but relaxed. This is a warm... More

My husband and I stayed here in early December as a birthday/anniversary treat. The location could not be better and the large room we had was comfortable and perfect in every way for us. The delicious, well cooked breakfast was so much better than dinner in the evening which was very hit and miss. Our first evening dinner was very... More

Given to position of this place and the potentially rather posh North Norfolk crowd in house, this is a really un stuffy place to go. Families with dogs are welcome and not treated like lepers too! I stayed her a few times in the past...the last time about 2.5 yrs ago, and the bed I had was absolutely worn out...but... More

Our family came for a night at short notice over half-term. The room was excellent: two interconnecting rooms actually, with two bathrooms. There was loads of space for four of us. Very stylish. The kitchen brought us fresh milk to the room and said they would bring more anytime. At breakfast the kids asked for things off menu and the... More

The ideal place to meet my chum for lunch. Friendly staff who welcomed me and my greyhound Daisy. In fact it's clearly the place where dogs meet as they almost outnumbered the humans! Toasty log fire and tasty food. A perfect place to chat away a few hours on a November day. It's gorgeous here in the summer on the beach... More

Positives: Lovely area, fantastic building, staff very helpful and tried to sort problems with no argument, they take dogs in some rooms (check if you have allergies, we weren't given the option!), breakfast was excellent, bed was very comfortable, was very warm, fillet stake was excellent. Negatives: Interconnecting bedroom doors meant you could hear everything said in the next room... More

We had a single night stay on 28th October. We first came to The Victoria 12 yrs ago for our honeymoon, and I didn't necessarily want to go back in case it wasn't as good as I remembered. But I didn't have a choice in the matter because my husband booked this visit as a surprise. As it turned out,... More

This break was a much needed time away from home; a terrible year so this break had many hopes hanging on it. The Victoria at all levels delivered:- service, comfort, decor, food, ambiance. The Inn has good views and is at the start of the drive on to the Holkham Estate. It is a wonderfully uplifting place to be. Part of... More

We stayed for 4 nights in October. The stay was absolutely fabulous. The staff are highly attentive and thoughtful, the rooms sumptuous & the food really delicious - high quality, local ingredients made extremely expertly by the chef. The staff made our pug dog extremely welcome and generally went the extra mile. The Victoria is actually extremely good vale for... More
