Stayed two nights for a business conference. All in all OK. Rooms were dated, and for being out on the water, suprisingly nothing really to do. Staff was excellent and food was great as well, I just left with the feeling that something was missing. I found myself wishing I had stayed across the bridge in Duluth.

The stay was great. I spent almost 4 months at Barker's. The staff and management made us feel like home from the minute we got there. It's nice to have all amenities under one roof! I live in hotels 11 months a year and would go back anytime. Thanks for the hospitality.

We had never stayed here but were really looking forward to our upcoming visit. Upon arrival we noticed how aged the building was. Being on the shores of Lake Superior you would think it would look a little warn but this was worse than expected. The staff was very helpful, kind and courteous. Our accessible room was clean but overstuffed... More

This "Inn" has filthy rooms with beds that have not been changed in YEARS! Water stained ceilings, stained chairs, cracked/stained bathtubs, torn dirty carpet, peeling wallpaper, inadequate heating/cooling units are the room amenities you will find. The restaurant and lounge first opened at 4pm and features a poorly trained staff with food quality similar to a cafeteria. Also be advised... More

Our favorite vacation spot in our state is Duluth, MN. A beautiful city on the shores of Lake Superior. We use to always stay in the city of Duluth. We take a mini vacation to Duluth every year with our grandchildren. One year we decided to try staying at Barker's Island Inn because their rates were much cheaper the hotels... More

Staff was very friendly and helpful, but: 1) Hotel is very dated, beds were like sleeping on a rock with mattress springs letting you know they were there 2) Pool area looked like it had not been vacuumed/cleaned for some time. Floaties of some sort in the hot tub. Thought about getting a drink from the fountain in the area,... More

This hotel is located in a nice area. I would have expected to pay a lot more but then when I got inside the hotel and the rooms were dated. This was a weekend so there was no continental breakfast. I ate in the restaurant twice as the food was good but even on a Saturday night as a traveler... More

Stayed here for a 2 day seminar. Older well maintained property set on an island - very unique feel with harbor and marina. Laid back location - rooms include a choice of 1 of 4 hot breakfasts cooked to order, 10x better than the typical hot breakfast buffet. Staff are very friendly. Restaurant and bar are both friendly with good... More

this is a really convenient location. property is a little dated, same as rooms. they honor entertainment card to save lots!!! this is a big plus. so i did not expect the best sleeping mattress or whatever. rooms clean and good size. bar was fun. good happy hour.
