My wife and I just stayed at Chanticleer for a portion (five days) of our honeymoon vacation. Darrin and Bryon were excellent, friendly and accommodating hosts! We stayed in the garden suite which was in the original main house of the farmstead. It was simple, clean and rustic. I grew up in SW Minnesota and it truly felt as if... more

My husband and I reviewed every bed and breakfast in door county. We had our check-list of "must-haves" and the Chanticleer Guest House met all of them so we booked our room with much anticipation. The hospitality was AMAZING! The hosts are the nicest, most courteous people. We were not disappointed in our stay, and the only thing I really... more

This inn tops my list of the most wonderful places to stay in the USA. The property and rooms are absolutely gorgeous, I'd say even bucolic. We stayed for a week, in two different rooms in the barn. The barn is beautifully and lovingly restored. Rooms felt very private. Huge, comfy beds. Every room is unique, with high quality furnishings.... more

My husband and I stayed at the Chantcleer for the Labor Day weekend on recommendations from Tripadvisors visitors. It was all that we had hoped for. It was a romantic, peaceful getaway from our daily lives. The setting is wonderful with beautiful gardens, a nature trail and sheep in the next yard. The room (we stayed in the Sunflower room)... more

We stayed here for our anniversary. It was a quick get away to enjoy some alone time. Darrin & Bryon have done a wonderful job on the Chanticleer. Upon arrival we were greeted by the smell of chocolate chip cookies. Our room was nicely decorated and had a lovely view of the gardens and sheep pasture. Even though all the... more

My fiance and I unfortunately booked our stay at the Chanticleer at the same time as a blizzard. It took us many additional hours to arrive. We called to forewarn the Chanticleer of our late arrival and were told it was absolutely no problem and to drive safe. When we did finally arrive we were greeted by a friendly face... more

My partner and I have stayed at the Chanticleer several times, during nearly every season, experiencing two of the rooms (Sunflower and Grand) and three of the cabins (Evergreen, Tamarack, Hemlock). We loved every single room/cabin!!! The rooms and cabins are tastefully decorated, the breakfasts are fabulous, and the surrounding property is spectacular. You get the privacy you want to... more

At first we were not sure that we wanted to stay inland while in Door County. Got over that the minute we came up the drive, leaves russeling, a vintage carriage to the left and there it was the awsome barn. This has been the MOST unique experience at a B&B we have ever had. All the quite comforts in... more

We just returned from our vacation on Sunday. We loved this B&B. The property is so beautiful, I definatly recommend walking the trails. I can't remember the last time I heard such quiet and was able to see the stars so well. The food was really yummy too, and the room was gorgeous! more

I have been here a number of times--usually in the off season. It is very quiet and folks are left to their own devices. this is not a group gathering guest house where everyone sits around and states where they are from and what they do. this is a quiet couples place fairly centrally located. Good dining options of all... more
