The hotel is right in downtown Sturgeon Bay, which was nice, very close to Red Oak Winery and Sage Restaurant. The room was clean, but left a lot to be desired. The walls were paper thin. We could hear our neighbors' conversations all night. And while this is a bit nit picky, the bath towels weren't much bigger than the... more

We just returned from a great weekend at Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay. They managed the unpredictable fall weather to allow for a wonderful wedding experience. We enjoyed the beautiful fall colors and Lake Michigan! The resort was exceptional with accommadations, friendly staff, great food and atmosphere. We are thinking another trip there to experience a guided fishing trip... more

Our stay here was less then great. From the time we walked with the poor customer service at the front desk and were told about the $200 fee to hold for incidents or the $50 in cash (which they never checked) to the small room with no microwave, fridge, sitting area and tiny TV. I would not stay here again.... more

First of all, if you are staying here, do not give them a check card to scan for incidentals. My co-worker did just that, and had 250.00 tied up for 2 weeks. Use a credit card for this. If you do not have a credit card, be sure to bring 50.00 cash since they require this deposit. The 50.00 will... more

To us this was one of the best places anyone could stay at. From checking in at the front desk to sitting in the pub to going to the restaurant. We have been to Stone Harbor several times now and will continue to go back. The bartender (Michelle) was a joy. Such a wonderful personality - she made us feel... more

Let me preface this by saying we travel a lot and usually stay in the best hotels and resorts. This is not my idea of a resort and I don't think most people would consider it one as well as they do not offer any activities other than a pool, whirlpool, sauna and restaurant. There is no spa, game room,... more

Either the standards are really low in Wisconsin or this is false advertising! Our entire experience there was lackluster at best. Some things they could not help like all the construction in the area. Other things like customer service or lack thereof is something they could control. The staff were probably the most inhospitable people I have encountered at a... more

The resort grounds and room were quite good. The issue with this resort it seems is that the management cares more about the outside events groups than they do the guests that pay money to stay there. On a nice night in early August we were told that they were not serving on the outdoor patio. Then we went to... more

Beautiful location, newer building with the look of a nice suburban corporate hotel. There was nothing outstanding except the view of the Harbor. We were seated in the near-empty restaurant. The late-day view of the harbor was beautiful. Our server was excellent and was helpful with some knowledge about the historic bridge and other local information! The food "sounded" beautiful,... more
