My son, a friend, and I came back for the 3rd year in a row for a couple nights. Didn't spend much time in our rooms, but they were clean and quiet. We were able to check in early, as our rooms had just been cleaned and were ready. Staff was friendly and helpful. When we have been there the... More

Stayed overnight during a fishing trip with two of my buddies. Had a 2 bedroom unit with a pullout bed in the living room. The 2 bathrooms were handy to have. Full kitchen with everything you need for making meals. We ate all our meals out except breakfast. We may come back soon and bring our wives along. Clean, comfortable... More

Our stay at this hotel was very unpleasant. The rooms had a very unpleasant sulfur odor. The bathroom had mold on the grout and in the whirlpool. The owner was actually rude to some guests in the parking lot that were staying for the weekend fishing. We watched the proprietor scream at these guests for fishing to close to him... More

So this was a weekend trip, and my husband chose the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The photoson the website are dated, showing a small room. The bay view suite was wonderful. There are firepits ,($4/bundle is a little high if you ask me), but an amazing view of the bay. There is a full kitchen and a library if... More

Great location. Hotel/rooms run down. Hot tub was not hot. Really wanted to soak after a cold day on the ice! Pro let the guide do all the work. Little to no interaction with him. Any interaction was unpleasant. This type of business is all about creating a memorable experience for guests. They've got it all wrong.

My husband and I stayed sept 5&6th. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and the price was very competitive. The only thing was that we were upset about was we promised a jacuzzi in the room and found it to be in the bathroom.

This was our first trip to Door County and our first guided fishing trip with Captain Dale. The resort, the fishing, and the area all exceeded our expectations. We booked a 1 bedroom suite overlooking the bay and were thrilled with both the room and the view. The resort grounds are meticulously maintained and exceptionally well planned. The beach is... This was our first trip to the Door County/Sturgeon Bay area so we weren't sure just what to expect at Sand Bay Beach Resort. We traveled with another couple and booked adjoining rooms, one with a full kitchen and one with a mini kitchen. Both rooms were very clean and spacious, with the larger room also providing a small patio... More

We had a wonderful time at Sand Bay! The kids loved the huge beach, campfires and pool! Friendly staff, great value, clean rooms....awesome vacation spot!! It's close to home yet felt like we were in Florida! We forgot our son's blanket at the hotel and they happily mailed it to us. We will go to Sand Bay again!
