The inn was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for--it was close to everything in town but with a getaway feeling in the suite. Breakfast was good and delivered at the time we requested. The fireplace and hot tub were great for a winter weekend. more

Walking distance from restaurants and shops of 3rd Street, Sturgeon Bay, the Barbican is the best B&B in Door County. A short drive from the peninsula, this B&B located at 2nd and Kentucky (the heart of downtown Sturgeon Bay) is a quiet, romantic getaway. Some fifteen suites are available each decorated differently (a different theme in each) in antique furniture,... more

We've visited Door Co almost every year for maybe 20 yrs. always staying someplace new. Barbican was lovely BECAUSE we were n the Coach House. It was SO unusual and beautiful. I honesty don't think I'd have liked it all that much if we were in any other suite. This is an authentic horse barn from around the turn of... more

This B and B is very impressive on the website advertising the amenities, but in reality, it was one of the more uncomfortable and inhospitable stays we've had in quite some time. We stayed in a split level cottage $149, so we got a workout just getting to the TV and hot tub below (no TV in the bedroom). Once... more

We had never stayed at a bed & breakfast before but wanted to try something different for our 30th wedding anniversary. We didn't know what to expect when we booked our room online. We chose the Coach House and when the host walked us into our room were we ever pleasantly surprised. The room was amazing. It is a beautiful... more

My husband & I stayed at the Barbican for three nights (including a weekend) during our fall trip to Door County. The Villa Suite was nicely appointed (hot tub, fireplace, comfortable seating areas, lots of space, off street parking and a lovely breakfast delivered right to our door). However, all three nights were interrupted by noisy chatter, yelling and laughter... more

My husband and I stayed at the Barbican Guest House on the weekend of our first anniversary (in August 2007), and it turned out to be the perfect place to spend a quiet, celebratory weekend together. We had considered staying at the Stone Harbor Resort across the street, which did look beautiful, but I'm so glad we decided on the... more

My wife and I stayed here for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Parlor Suite. It was nice big suite decorated in antique furniture. It also had a 2 person jacuzzi (I think every room has one). It was one block away from the restaurants and shops of downtown Sturgeon Bay and not too far from the... more

We stayed in the Pines suite and it was beautiful, clean, and a was very neat room. The bathroom was recently redone and now has a roomy walk-in shower with double showerheads; very nice. It was a very neat room with the bedroom on the top level, the living room w/ gas fireplace below, and a whirlpool in-between these two... more

This place is nice and clean and our room was huge (a deal for $125 dollars a night) but a few things were lacking. First, the continental breakfast consisted of muffins, fruit salad, coffee/tea/OJ/milk and that's it. Not much to it. Second, the people who worked there were not always available and not very helpful about recommendations about local attractions.... more
