Highly recommend the Governor's suite. This was a huge, lovely decorated room with jacuzzi and 2 fireplaces, cable/wifi as well as a mini fridge. The breakfasts were delicious and delivered hot to our door. This location is one block off the main shopping/dining area in Sturgeon Bay, so super convenient. We would recommend the TAP theater for a great evening... More

When I read the reviews of The Barbican, I was leary of booking there. We stayed 2 nights in Aug, 2012. The proprietor was very nice. The breakfast was good--delivered to your door in a basket. Nice dishes. Cloth napkins, etc. We stayed in the Verandah Suite. It was nice. Clean. The lobby--one of the chairs looked like it could... More

I read some of the reviews, both good and bad, and decided to book a last minute reservation at the Barbican. The price was affordable for a room with 2-person hot tub, and rooms were available at short notice. I didn't notice that there were very few reviews over the course of the last 2 years. As is turns out,... More

My wife and I had a pleasant and spontaneous one-night stay in the Pines Suite this past weekend. Nancy and Darcy were very friendly, the building was very clean, the rates were very reasonable, and our suite was fantastic. The Pines is big, and the amenities - separate bedroom, jacuzzi, walk-in shower, cable TV, DVD, sitting area, mini-fridge, free parking,... More

We stayed in the Victoria suite, the room is large and dim. We paid $190 per night for bed and breakfast. The "Breakfast" on the first morning was late but edible though the "coffee" was weak and virtually undrinkable. On the second day of our two day stay the coffee was O K but the food was stodgy and inedible.... More

It is nice to have a lot of space but I didn't feel like to use any of them. Everything is very old and dirty. Drapery and bedspread are discolored due to dust and the1940’s couch is filthy and broken at one end. So I watched the tiny analog TV for 10 minutes (does have cable, whirl pool and wireless... More

A lot of the reviews concerning The Barbican are far too harsh. We stayed in the Library Suite on the first floor. Upon entering the lobby, you push aside a bookcase and enter the room from the hallway behind.....very clever! The room was bright enough as there were plenty of windows and lamps with which to read by. The bed... More

When first driving up to the Barbican, it is quite lovely...nice landscaping, beautiful porch. We got into the lobby and had to use our cell phone to call the number and let them know we were in the lobby. We were greeted by someone who seemed less than excited...not a warm welcome. No questions...no help with our bags...and it was... More

My husband and I stayed at the Barbican for our honeymoon in the pines suite. The pictures were very deceiving. The room was not nice, and the staircase from the living room to the bedroom was very steep. When you use the hot tub, it steams up the whole room and dampens the whole place because there is not an... More

We actually had another b & b booked and ended up having to cancel cause of work problems, and I was really disappointed about that. I kind of felt like I was settling for the Barbican Inn with the pictures they had posted. We ended up booking the Corner Suite with the advice of Mike (one of the extremely friendly... More
