We found this hidden gem last May on a ride up the Mississippi River. Stayed here on Jan 31st because we like to ice fish. The Water's Edge Motel Marina and Campground was great. We stayed in the log cabin by the marina. Friendly people, clean facilities, owners run the place and it shows. We stayed 4th of July weekend at Waters Edge Motel.Super experience... From clean rooms that are well furnished and comfortable, to beautiful sunset views of the shore or balcony. The Water's Edge is strictly for hunters and/or fishermen who want a reasonably priced bare-bones place with a marina where they can crash after hunting/fishing all day. The atmosphere is perfect. Our cabin was beautiful. It was the perfect setting for spending the night out for our anniversary until....the trains started rolling down the tracks just 30 feet away from the cabin...they blew the horn at the intersection EVERY TIME and ran through the night at least hourly.
