The only negative I can say is that the reviews are correct, the hotel is outdated and feels like the 90s. However, its very clean, the rooms are HUGE, the views are grand and the staff is fantastic. We stayed one night and visited The House on the Rock attraction during the day. The Stay and Tour package was a... More

Lovely prairie style accommodations. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room. Unlike other reviewers, our room WAS clean. Our balcony overlooked a spectacular fall showing of beautiful color off the golf course. The bed is in a separate area which is nice. The bed itself could be newer..the mattress was a bit broken down. Never... More

My friend and I are in our 70s and occasionally go on an overnight to nice places in our area. We decided on this resort because we'd heard the view was spectacular. We chose to go in the fall and made our reservation in June. We requested a room with a view at the senior rate. The week prior to... More

Beautiful location in a very nice area. The hotel could use updating. The Restaurant needs more staff so that service would be better. The food at dinner was ok but cold when served. Lunch in the bar was good and the service in the bar was great. The staff at reception was very friendly and efficient. The room needs updating... More

My youngest adult child (!) and I stayed a night and had a wonderful stay! I found a great price which included two House on the Rock admissions. We were thrilled to have separate rooms and to have a small kitchenette available. (Small refrigerator and a microwave, along with the usual coffee maker). We found fairly new carpet down our... I just returned from staying here and I feel it is just an OK place. They definitely take pride in their golf course for sure, however it lacks in their housekeeping. I agree with the other reviewer who said the hallway in elevator had not been vacuumed for the 3 days they were there because the same thing happened with... More

We found the location and views of the golf course outstanding. The rooms, lobby and restaurant were all below average and need updating and some cleaning. We had lots of little gnats in our room and found the couch and bed pretty worn. Very reasonably priced room and golf package so overall great golf and average hotel experience.

I have stayed here a few times and continue to come back because it is in such a wonderful setting that it refreshes your soul. Some highlights are a wonderful pool, hot tub and sauna, great views of the golf course (I don't golf but it looks like an interesting and well maintained course) and the prairie style feel. An... This resort is an oasis in the middle of southwestern Wisconsin. We came in for one night to visit Taliesin. I didn't have any trouble with wifi in our room (313). From the resort, it is a very easy drive into Spring Green where there is plenty of small town character. We also appreciated the private, covered patio.

The rooms are fine, nothing special, nothing to criticize. The setting, on a golf course, is peaceful and scenic. It's also right next to the APT Theater and Taliesin. We walked back from the theater on night along a moonlit golf path. My only critique is that there is no WIFI in the rooms, which should be standard by now.... More
