The Usonian Inn is modified to make it more comfortable for the modern visitor, but negating many of the usonian characteristics. The facade was authentic, from a distance, but the modifications used detracted. A nice quiet place to sleep, well off the road.

Stayed here a few days while we explored the region. We booked well in advance despite some of the scathing reviews on trip advisor, we found the Usonian Inn to be a clean, quiet and comfortable establishment. If you are looking for a major chain hotel experience, this may not be the place for you. I would put it more... More

It might be a stretch calling this building a "Usonian," but it's a good enough hook for an inn located in Spring Green and just minutes to Taliesin. The proprietor is a kind woman who is eager to help and runs a clean establishment. The rooms are typical motel-style with doors leading to the motor court. There are lovely tables... More

Just don't try to stay there with a service dog. They will make sure you are sorry. Also, wifi did not work, no phones, no bathtub in the room...I guess it depends on what you want. Not only were they unfriendly but we actually encountered verbal abuse and harassment.

Here is the story, I had no problem to accommodate someone with a service dog; yet it depends on the definition of the SERVICE DOG. The person staying here had left the dog behind for a whole entire morning and unlike promised the dog was roaming around in the room and BARKING OUT his lungs that you can hear it... More

We were in Spring Green to celebrate my birthday. The owner knew it was my birthday and had a decoration and card in the room. The rooms are clean and updated like no motel you have ever visited. Great location if you are visiting American Players Theater or House in the Rock. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stayed there during an unexpected trip. A very friendly greeting along with some very helpful hints for the area came from the owner upon check-in. We did not have a reservation and it was late, yet the rates were very fair. The rooms were up-dated but still maintained some of their history as an older roadside... More

I arrived planning on staying one night for the wright tour on a cross country drive...ended up staying two as it was so relaxing...true, wifi was slow but that is never a criteria for me to lose sleep over....the quiet, the uniqueness, the flowers, the cleanliness, the suggestions of other things to do all made for my complete delight. Thank... More

The Rooms are clean and plain. The pictures show some more interesting rooms but those were booked during our stay. The Bathroom updates are greatly appreciated the shower was great and tall enough for me (6'10"). The only complaint is on connectivity. There were no phones in the room and WiFi for all practical purposes doesn't work. The no phones... More

Staying at the Usonian Inn was a pleasant experience to complement our trip to the area to explore Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesen. Staying at this hotel in the quiet city of Spring Green is a quaint accompaniment to your interest in architecture in the area.

Love staying at The Usonion Inn several times a year when attending American Players Theatre plays.and hiking in the Wisconsin Dessert behind it. Also love to stop at the Hyde Mill and Global View. Right next to all there is to do in the Spring Green area..Also near House on The Rock.
