My husband and I just returned from a wonderful vacation. We stayed 3 nights in the lower suite and it was fantastic. There was no one in the upper suite so we were all by ourselves at the house. The peace and quiet was exactly what was needed and the beautiful location amid the hills was perfect. It is a... More

We spent five days at the Inn At Lonesome Hollow. The hosts were consistently friendly and helpful. The room was great. Everything in the room was spotlessly clean and in perfect working order. All of the breakfasts were delicious. The setting was beautiful and quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very well-kept B&B in a secluded valley of the magical Driftless Area. Especially if you stay in the separate Homestead suites down the lane, you can really enjoy the peace and quiet of being way out in the country, take long walks on the mowed trails, watch the birds - yet there are... I love this place. We've been here for Easter and New Years in past years, and it's always so great. The owners and hosts are always friendly. I can always count on things to be kept up well. It's about 20 minutes away from a town, but that's ok. It's nice to get away for the weekend.

we rented the entire Homestead. Hosts were very friendly, the house was immaculate, location fantastic and beautiful. Beds had the best sheets and were comfortable. Even had a grill and fire pit for our use.

We enjoyed our one night stay in this unbelievably beautiful setting. Pete and Nora were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Our room was large and comfortable and extremely clean. We enjoyed a walk up to the top of the ridge at sunset, and after dark the stars were incredible--if you are there on a clear night do not... More

The Inn at Lonesome Hollow is tucked away in a secluded valley near Soldier's Grove, Wisconsin. This area of the state is known for its gentle rolling hills, and after a delicious home-cooked breakfast we explored the landscape on one of the many mown paths on the Lonesome Hollow property. Pete and Nora were gracious hosts and our room was... More

Wonderfully bucolic setting. For those who have not experienced it, Wisconsin's Driftless area/Kickapoo Valley is hidden treasure. Pete and Nora were gracious hosts but not overly attentive. Breakfast was well prepared and portions were just right. Peaceful plus. Great hiking.

We had the most relaxing, peaceful time last weekend. I don't think we thanked our hosts properly enough. We both have extremely stressful jobs, so we always look for places to go that will help us to relax more than anything. Pete and Nora expertly and graciously provide a private getaway with beautiful, sumptuous accommodations, breath-taking walking trails (literally ha!),... More

This B and B is one of the best I've been to. A very relaxing quiet place. Our hosts were very friendly and made us a great breakfast. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Plenty to do there from hiking to sitting by the water with a good book.
