I had not stayed at Liberty Lodge since before the renovation, and was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful changes. The lobby and staff were welcoming, and I loved the fact that they offered umbrellas there, which helped us out tremendously as we ventured out in the rain to go to dinner. Our room was beautiful, and the fireplace was the... More

Very nice staff. I know it said continental breakfast, but thought it would be better. Nice room but very loud plumbing. (whenever someone ran water, not sure who in the building) it was very loud in our room. Overall okay stay.

Liberty Lodge is situated nicely just out of town on Highway 42 facing Sister Bay (though the view is partially obscured by new condos). Road noise, if windows are opened, is minimal. Wicker chairs are on a covered porch outside each room. This historical (c. 1898) inn has been extensively renovated from top to bottom. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly... More

It was our first time to Door Co.and we didn't have a clue as to where to stay. We used Trip Advisor, but It really wasn't helpful with which town, or maybe I just missed the signs. If we went again we'd choose Fish Creek or Ephraim. We like to walk a lot and like amenities you can walk to.... More

Excellent stay. Clean, friendly, updated lodge. Staff was accommodating. Rooms were very comfortable. Big tv's. Comfy outdoor furniture. We would stay there again. The only small knock, it's pretty close to highway 42. A little bit of road noise, but not bad.

For the most part I agree with the other reviews of this place in that for an inn that is over 100 years old, everything is pretty tip top. The physical lodge is almost pristine in upkeep and appearance. Right now from the front porch and the gazebo there of something of a view of the water. However, a developer... More

Joe, I am so sorry your experience was not what you had hoped. When you told me about the lukewarm water in the shower I immediately called our on-call maintenance man who came to try to remedy it for you. He was unable to find the cause. As this occurred on Saturday I had difficulty getting a hold of a... More

The Liberty Lodge has been totally redone by the new owners in the past couple of years. The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for my stay. WiFi and TV were both good quality signals. Staff was helpful and friendly, morning breakfast was a cold self serve buffet that covered all of the necessary needs. Easy parking and convenient location... More

The trip to Sister Bay was a get together for two girlfriends; one from Naples FL and the other from Florence WI. We were lucky to find a lovely room for four nights in this beautifully restored lodge. Our room was very comfortable with two queen beds and a gas fireplace. The great room was joy to rest in as... During our recent trip to Wisconsin, we stayed at Liberty Lodge. Our room was absolutely gorgeous with hardwood floors and colonial-style furnishings. It would have easily passed the white-glove test as it was, by far, the cleanest spot we have ever stayed. The stone fireplace in the office area "family room," surrounded by comfy leather couches, provided a cozy, comfortable... More
