I really enjoyed my stay at the Patio Motel. I'm a big fan of the old fashioned road side motels and this was one of my recent favorites. The owners were friendly and check in was a easy. I stayed in Room 4, which was a double-double room. The room itself was reasonably updated and spotless. It overlooked the yard... More

My boyfriend and I have been visiting Door County for the past 3 years and love to stay at the Patio Motel and Drive In in Sister Bay. This motel has 6 rooms, we have stayed in 3 different rooms which are charming in their own way. No, this is not a fancy motel with all the frills, it is... More

Clean, comfortable rooms, like coming home to a peaceful haven, away from the congestion and crowds. Amiable service, and we enjoyed the convenience and quality of the Patio restaurant right next door to the motel. They have excellent sandwiches, dinners, ice cream. and good breakfasts. Loved the cross ventilation with windows open for that refreshing cool air at night!

Very pungent musty smell/Ants all over bathroom /has not been updated since the 1940/50s. Had to move to another room after one night suppose a better room, after they comented that they had a water problem in some rooms,we noticed them carring water to restaurant in uncovered plastic pails from another room.We hoped it was for washing dishes and not for... I was initially disappointed when we arrived at the door, as I caught a whiff of that old 'vintage' smell. We opened the windows and the room was spotlessly clean. The bed were comfortable, plenty of pillows, etc. The owners are nice and there is a drive in/ restaurant on the premises as well. Chocolate malt and home made soups... More

Nice rooms with early 70's furnishings. Motel also has a restaurant but we did not have a chance to eat there. Very nice and friendly owners. If you want to save money for a place to rest your head at night in Sister Bay, this is it!

I wasn't expecting much at this price. But, I wasn't expecting mold, bugs and the musty smell. The toilet ran every 7 minutes. I didn't bring my clothes in as I didn't want them to smell like the room. It was pretty bad. We asked for our money back.

The Patio Motel is like stepping back in time. The rooms are very clean and the people that own this motel are very friendly and helpful. Our room had chairs in it that resembled the "Jetson's" Wish I could have taken them home with me!! I would surely stay here again when visiting Door County.

Booked via e-mail, 1 night 6/29/13. Arrived - not exactly sure where to check in - signage could use some work, otherwise very nice & homey. Our room was comfortable, beds a little bouncy could use new mattresses. Non-smoking rooms, didn't smell at all. Two Q-size beds, three arm chairs, desk, table - extremely spacious - you could have added... More

Spacious room with 2 queen beds and 3 guest chairs with floor space left over. Enjoyed relaxing on the lawn in the shade under the big tree. No pool or fitness center. This is a small 1960ish motel centerly located to all of Door County's attractions. Really nice. I could easily spend a week here. Maybe next time.
