We had close to 40 stop in on a bike ride and the two bartenders where very quick in getting our drink orders. Food orders came very fast and the burgers are great. You must try the Frankenstien burger!

It has been awhile since my spouse and I have been to Camp 28 to eat. The last owners just didn't seem to care anymore about the quality of the food. Well, that has all changed. We went for the Friday night seafood buffet and it was fantastic. We recognized the chef from a previous restaurant and were so happy... More

The business has new managers as of Sept. They and the staff are very accomodating and friendly. The room was very large with a balcony overlooking the lake across the highway. It was very clean. They have wi-fi in the rooms. The only con is the TV which is not the managers fault. The owner is a member of Nascar... More

We stayed at Camp 28 as part of a group. Our snowmobile club did it's annual ride from Rib Lake this year. The staff in the bar and restaurant was very helpful and welcoming. They were willing to do whatever they could to accommodate us. They were good about seating our large group (17) in the restaurant and letting us... More

My wife and I stayed 2 nights on our Fall Foliage drive. The room was very clean and everything worked. They only have 8 rooms the door between ours and the next had a 3/4 inch gap under it so noises between rooms are possible. Also having a bar on site means noise outside. I would suggest a 2nd floor... More

Manager promised rooms and cots but did not deliver. Had his staff tell us he was out of town when he was on the premises. Rooms are very basic and service is practically nonexistent. Will never stay here again. Drive a little farther and stay in Medford.

Small establishment with 11 rooms with bar and restaurant connected. Rooms are very affordable and clean with great views of lake. No add-ons such as hair dryer, HBO, and pool. Very good value and friendly host/staff. We brought our goldwing chapter here for our fall color ride and had a great stay!! We would definitely come back.

Our family had their reunion in Rib Lake and a number of the families stayed at Camp 28. The service was great. The new managers and owners treated us well. They had a continental breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit, sweets and coffee. The resturant was getting ready to reopen in a week from when we were there at... More

The rooms themselves are nothing special, but they are clean and mine was spacious and reasonably up to date. It had the feel of a rental condo in that it didn't feel very worn but was rather p[lain in terms of furnishings and decor. The owners, who will soon be leasing the motel to another party to manage, went well... More

Camp 28 is a bit of everything. It's a hotel, a tavern (in the Northern Wisconsin sense), and a restaurant. We spent the night there while on some family business in town. The room was very clean, if a bit dated. Value for the trip, in other words the cost, was very good. The mattresses are a bit old, and... More
