I have a large family that gets together camping 2 to 3 times a year. We like to try different campgrounds throughout northern Wisconsin- and since we are such a large group (usually require 5-6 sites) we need to stay at a campground that has reservable sites. Well, my brother was in charge of our reservations for Memorial weekend. We... More

The campground had everything we were looking for to have a wonderful week long vacation. We brought our travel trailer and our dog..have absolutely no complaints to share. We left with great memories and met lots of very nice people. The mgmt were very nice and accomodating. The campground was kept up, very rustic with trees everywhere and boulders. It... More

I have no memory of being in the Northwoods, WI and now I can say "it is a wonderful place". Rhinelander is a small quaint town, but the lakes, campgrounds, and area tourist spots were terrific. My girls 13 & 15 enjoyed the woody campsites, clean pool, sandy beach and clear lake. All in all, West Bay Camping Resort is... More

We were going to camp here but before we even got set up the lady that is the host was so rude to us that we didn't stay. We were following the direction on the door of the shop when no one is present how to pick your site. I guess that wasn't good enough for her. The year before... More

The manger is completely rude! We drove into this "resort" early in the season to check it out. We stopped to check out the playground for our young children, which was okay, nothing spectacular. We then stopped at the bathrooms and went in to see how clean they were, this often tells a lot about how a place is kept... More

We visited West Bay camping resort in July 2010. Never in all of our years of camping have we encountered such rude hosts and non family friendly atmosphere. We were accused many times of breaking the rules at the pool (which we did not.) The hosts expected the poolside bathroom floors to remain dry. Obviously, this is impossible since they... More

Our family group rented two lakeside cabins (#1-2) for an August weekend. West Bay was one of the few options that had some expanded facilities and still had 2-night rentals available when we checked in April. Website (westbaycampingresort.com) and communication were good. All in all, we had a good time of the old-time northwoods cabin variety. We liked the location,... More
