While this B&B has many praise-worthy qualities, the highlight is the owner who has the rare combination of integrity and a marvelously colorful personality. Our breakfasts were good but the conversations were sparkling and hilarious.

Our room was comfortable and pretty without being too foo-fooey. We loved that there was a Christmas tree in the room (at the request of a guest staying soon after us). It was decorated in non-Christmas colors, so it just felt festive and romantic for our June stay.

Overall, the accomodations were agreeable, unpretentious, and flexible. You won't find the affected precision of the conscierge level of a 5 star hotel here, but you will be treated like a beloved member of the family in a home where you can comfortably hang your hat.

If you stay at B&B's all the time, you'll still find the owner a treat, and if you've never stayed at a B&B, this would be the perfect initiation.
