Facade remenicent of Switzerland. Located on a major road heading north and south through farmland in Winsconsin you will find this quaint town. The staff were all friendly and willing to lend a hand. Rooms were clean. We stayed on the East (side facing the highway) which maybe a bit noisy with the road (we found it to be ok)... More

We stayed here this weekend for a family wedding. Upon arrival we discovered that everyone in our group had different rates varying from around $100 to over $150 for the same style of room, under the same wedding block rate and the same nights stayed. At check out we decided to ask what the issue was and why they were... More

We stayed here with another couple for a weekend in March. The taste and your package was great-cheese and crackrrsyaling with a six pack of new glarus beer in the room upon arrival, $40 off dinner at the hotel or restaurant down the street (which was great), new glarus tour and tasting all for a great price! Also included breakfast... More

Stayed here while attending a Birthday get-together in one of the conference rooms. Great hotel set-up decorated in Swiss charm. Loved the old-world country feel! The service and management was very welcoming as you would expect a small town like New Glarus. Lots of nice shops nearby, as well as golf, biking and the New Glarus Brewery -- home of... More

Hotel is a bit outdated. It is a typical northwoods WI hotel. Walls seem thin-you can hear a lot of outside noise (hallways, people talking outside the hotel). Front desk staff is friendly & helpful. Restaurant is expensive. Breakfast buffet is awesome. Trail in back of hotel charges $5 to ride your bike on the path and free to walkers.

New Glarus is a lovely, beautiful tiny hamlet in South Central Wisconsin. I travel there frequently for business and have stayed at the Chalet Landhaus numerous times. Many of the reviews I have read are spot-on with the oddities of the property and how it is managed, but in general if you are staying in New Glarus you have to... More

What a charming hotel! Our room was spacious, the staff was wonderful, and there was an inviting fire in the fireplace & comfy chairs to enjoy on a cold wintery day. Excellent restaurant on the premises; great fondue.

Hotel lobby, outside and area look great. Hotel rooms are dirty and outdated. Mold in bathroom stained and dinghy sheets. Carpet filthy and stained. The lady checking us in was rude. They charged 135.00 in Feb.

We stayed here for one night on a recent trip though the area. It is an older property but the old-world-charm of the structure and the cheerfulness of the staff made us feel very welcome. While the beds and bedding were of typical budget hotel stock, they were very comfortable. My traveling companion has back issues and had no problems... More

I rate this hotel five stars because it sits in a very tiny town that is 'theme based' as a "Swiss " experience. I have read several reviews and they are pretty consistent in the fact that the hotel is very clean. Indeed that is fact! Some complain about the furniture. Just a plain silly thing to report negatively on... More
