Loved Minocqua, Wisconsin. Stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights in a "suite" (basically 2 hotel rooms stuck together). Solid, pedestrian, Best Western choice - claimed to be recently renovated but seemed tired. Since you'll be out and about in this area, a decent choice to stay - but I would check the area for private homes, cabins, etc.... More

Our group celebrated New Year 2011 at this great central location. Short walking distance to restaurants and shops. Complimentary breakfast had a great selection. Bar on sight was also very accomadating. Spent New Year day watching the football game and they didn't mind us bringing our snacks/appetizers into the bar area. More

We stayed here for one night with our 2 grandchildren. Had a 1 bedroom suite... 1 king and 2 queens. Very nice hotel..clean..Furniture and beds, bedding all in excellent condition.
