Loved the idea of an all in one location - hotel, restaurant, bar. Room was clean and comfortable. It was a little strange that the tub was essentially in the middle of the room, but everything was well placed. Nice combination of an older building with modern amenities.

i knew my husband would have been driving several hours a day for several days when we arrived in Milwaukee, so I tried to find an affordable hotel or inn that was worth the price downtown so that we could walk around. After some investigation I noticed that most hotels would require an additional fee for parking, and did or... More

It was our 5 year anniversary and I had read about County Clare and decided to make a reservation. Our suite was nicely appointed. The only thing that I would improve in the room is the mattress. This was a quiet room except for the buses that went by. So you might like to ask for a room away from... More

Our first impression of the Inn was SO Irish! I've traveled to Ireland a few times and this hotel took me back there in my mind. The in house Pub is so adorable, love the layout, it felt like we were in Ireland. The food was excellent, we took advantage of the free breakfast/brunch as a hotel guest, it didn't... More

It was a pretty standard room, from a business traveler's point of view, except for being configured to make space for a hot tub. (The hotel itself is kind of Irish-themed, but in the room itself that wasn't overdone.) The basics were mostly fine -- it was clean and the bed was sleepable. The door had an unusually high clearance,... More

I had heard about County Clare from friends a few years ago and we were visiting Grandaughter at Marquette on Saturday so we decided to try it. I absolutely loved it! Very quaint, not a chain. Room was nice and very clean. Since we are a little older and have a few knee problemsI loved the walk in shower in... More

I stayed at County Clare this past Saturday during a trip in town for my birthday. I love staying at hotels that aren't chains, and County Clare fit in perfectly. The quality of the rooms came as a nice surprise, considering the price. Not that I expected some flea-ridden shack, but the room was spectacular! My room was the standard... More

We found County Clare Inn to be charming. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was what they call “standard” and had a queen-sized bed with beautiful, carved wooden headboard, two comfy arm chairs with floor lamps, a small desk with table lamp, dresser, flat-screen TV, clothes rack, whirlpool tub, coffee maker. The shower, toilet, and sink areas are separate... More

The hotels is located in a quiet part of the city. You can walk to the downtown areas and sites in about 20 to 30 minutes. The food in the pub was great. the pub staff was a little lax in their attentiveness, seemed more interested in the bar guests than the guests at the tables. The custom made to... More

We came into town for our first visit ever to Milwaukee and found County Clare by searching google maps for hotels near the lakefront marathon finish line. We were a quick jog away from the lake and park and within walking distance to several restaurants and a grocery store. This hotel was a great value for the money. The service... More
