Just back from a long weekend in MIlwaukee for our 30TH anniversay. Spent 2 nights at the County Clare and could not have been happier. They upgraded us to their suite because of the occasion! and they did not make a show out of doing the upgrade, but it was very appreciated. the staff was alwasy very friendly and helpful.... more

Stayed here for a quite 'one night away from home' using their Sunday Special Package. Everything about the place just makes you feel as if you are further away from home than you are. The rooms were comfortable and cozy. Even the fact that they were older and not ultra modern added to their charm. And, as every other user... more

As a female business traveller it can be sometimes unsettling to stay at hotels. The County Clare staff made me feel right at home. The homemade mashed potatoes are to die for. To have a whirlpool bath before bed was perfect. more

My husband & I came into Milwaukee for Summerfest to hear Flogging Molly. We wanted to have an Irish meal beforehand. This was THE place to do it! We were very impressed with the atmosphere and the food was simply divine. My husband ordered the Shepard's Pie and I went with the Guiness Pot Roast. Best.Potroast.Ever. It was so flavorfull... more

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Milwaukee for Summerfest. The County Clare was the perfect place to stay. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and spotless. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and while I was worried about parking, it was not a problem. The location was great as we were able to walk to the... more

My Husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at the County Clare Inn and had a very enjoyable stay. The location is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is pleasant and accomodating. The jacuzzi bath tub was also very nice. Cons: The walls are very thin. Also, we were unable to enjoy the free breakfast since 9AM... more

If you're looking for the unordinary in the downtown Milwaukee area, this is the place to stay. I've lived in the Milwaukee area for approx. 12 years and never knew a place like this could exist. If you want a 'romantic' feel at a bit lower than corprate rates, this place is the ticket. The exterior and bar are as... more

I prefer to stay in a B&B when possible and when I saw this one was over an Irish Pub I was sold. Although it's more of an Inn than B&B it's a great place. My spotless room was large with a comfy chair with ottoman, big TV, plenty of place for my clothes and stuff. The bathroom had a... more

This place opened right around the time I moved out of Milwaukee. An old friend, Barry Dodd, formerly the owner of and headliner performer at the now closed Dubliner Irish Pub, reminded me of the place and I checked out a room for the first time in early 2007 and get back often. The spacious rooms are clean, comfy and... more

Stayed here during a trip through Milwaukee (first 3 nights were at the Residence Inn), this was our last stop before heading home. It is a great inn, we loved our room - it was pretty spacious - and the jet tub. The inn is very close to Brady Street and their fun shops, restaurants. It's also really close to... more
