Great pub, great staff, great value! The breakfast was wonderful! I truly enjoyed the bubbles and squeak, the Bloody Mary's are huge and drink like a meal. The staff had a down home friendly attitude that makes us come back year after year.

Constant Companion and I spent four nights at the County Clare. This was our first visit to Milwaukee. We journeyed there to view the Kandinsky Retrospective at the Milwaukee Art Museum. The reservation process was a good indication of what would follow. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I mentioned that we preferred a room in the rear... More

The County Clare Irish Inn is an unique place. The rooms are decent. What is unique is the large whirlpool bathtubs in the room. It was relaxing after a long day. The Irish food is heavy, so you don't have to eat 3 meals a day here. The hotel staff is very responsive and polite.

We stayed at County Clare for business. We stayed for 3 nights. Reservation staff was so helpful as our group changed the number of rooms needed before our arrival. We were very happy generally with the location, cookies at check-in, free parking and rooms. Breakfast was a bit hit with our group. We were not expecting omelets made to order.... More

We stayed at County Clare for 5 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were in Milwaukee visiting family, and for us, the location was great: close to the lake, downtown, highways, and our relatives. Check in was a breeze (cookies included!) and our room on the second floor was large and comfortable. I personally loved the large jetted tub, although... More

Loved the idea of an all in one location - hotel, restaurant, bar. Room was clean and comfortable. It was a little strange that the tub was essentially in the middle of the room, but everything was well placed. Nice combination of an older building with modern amenities.

i knew my husband would have been driving several hours a day for several days when we arrived in Milwaukee, so I tried to find an affordable hotel or inn that was worth the price downtown so that we could walk around. After some investigation I noticed that most hotels would require an additional fee for parking, and did or... More

It was our 5 year anniversary and I had read about County Clare and decided to make a reservation. Our suite was nicely appointed. The only thing that I would improve in the room is the mattress. This was a quiet room except for the buses that went by. So you might like to ask for a room away from... More

Our first impression of the Inn was SO Irish! I've traveled to Ireland a few times and this hotel took me back there in my mind. The in house Pub is so adorable, love the layout, it felt like we were in Ireland. The food was excellent, we took advantage of the free breakfast/brunch as a hotel guest, it didn't... More

It was a pretty standard room, from a business traveler's point of view, except for being configured to make space for a hot tub. (The hotel itself is kind of Irish-themed, but in the room itself that wasn't overdone.) The basics were mostly fine -- it was clean and the bed was sleepable. The door had an unusually high clearance,... More
