The hotel is in an old building which had been converted and the decor is a bit tired and in need of renovation. The room was quite small with little room for luggage etc. but there was a fridge. It was impossible to sit at the desk without moving furniture. The bathroom was a decent size. The windows wouldn't open... more

Management is impossible to work with even when they admit it was their fault for all the issues we had. Tina is completely incompentent and Gregor is apparently incapable of following up or anwsering his phone. Had to dispute charges with our CC company because Tina wouldn't budge in her stupidity. more

The room was very small, but clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was large. A good value for the money downtown. Location is ten or fifteen minutes from Miller Park by car. At check-in the young lady could have been more helpful in recommending parking, etc., but overall the hotel was fine and I would stay again, just be aware... more

Where should I start? I placed reservations for 3 rooms back in march for summerfest. Called 4x's to confirm reservation. Was told everything is fine you are all set.....Well, called on Monday 6/22 for a 6/25 stay was told only had 2 reservations! I said that can't be right cause I called previous and was assured 3 rooms. Was told... more

This hotel was good for a weekend full of drinking and partying with friends. Great location and the room appeared rather clean. BUT...the rooms are old and desperately in need of updating. Our comforter had been patched 3 times and had a cigarette hole in it. The toilet was clogged and took 1 1/2 hours to get staff up to... more

My colleague booked this hotel through the hotel reservation system on the phone. We were in town for a conference and were really impressed with their low government rates (we work at a state university). Since we have to be reimbursed and have to have a zero balance receipt we couldn't pay in advance. Upon check in we discovered that... more

We came to stay at Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, but the experience there was horrible, so we checked out earlier and decided to stay at Best Western. Interestingly the service here was far more superior than that of Hyatt's!!! All the staff (Christopher, Scott and the person on duty on Tuesday May 19th 2009 morning) were extremely helpful, courteous, polite and... more

Stayed here last weekend. Nothing fancy, but not bad. Located in downtown area. Rooms were clean. Queen bed very comfortable. The Speakeasy Restaurant went bankrupt and was closed down recently. This hotel's website (http://www.bestwesternwisconsin.com/hotels/best-western-inn-towne-hotel/) says the following: "The hotel's Speakeasy Restaurant and Lounge is famous for its traditional Wisconsin Friday Night Fish Fry and barbecued ribs." more

I don't think you can have a better location in downtown Milwaukee. We stayed in room 308 a corner room and two of the walls were floor to ceiling windows. Very nice and sunny. They couldn't find our reservation even though I had booked through their website. We ended up in nonsmoking when we wanted smoking. Overall they corrected all... more

We stayed 1 night and have no complaints. Room was small but cozy. Great price and will stay there again when in Milwaukee. more
