I used to love this old property and the history it conveyed. I would still recommend the Plaza but its not the value it once was. Despite being promised a room with a patio view I was placed in a room with an alley view. I did not complained as I was told it was the last room. Our breakfast... More

Stayed for an overnight - taking in dinner and a show in downtown Milwaukee. Good location, friendly staff, and a classic cafe - perfect for a weekend brunch. A nice, reasonably priced hotel with character.

Interesting old hotel that appears to have been an apartment building at one time. I believe that part of the hotel may still be rented out long-term as apartments. A bit noisy with clanging radiators and bed, bedding and carpeting needs to be updated. However--very clean and well maintained. Staff is excellent.

An old but still charming property conveniently located in a lovely neighborhood not far from Cathedral Square. No "old building" musty odor at all, even though property dates to the 1920s. Desk staff very friend. Room comfortable, with kitchenette. Bathroom quite small and dated, but functional. Lovely cafe onsite for breakfast.

The Plaza is a nice hotel. It has some pro's and some con's. I preface this by saying this was graduation weekend, and the entire City was crazy busy and crowded. On the con side, the hotel has a funky floor plan, and we had to drag our luggage through the dining area to reach "Section 4" where our rooms... More

We stayed at the Plaza Hotel for a graduation weekend. The hotel had old radiators which were loud and the noise from the dining room came straight into our room. Not sure we'd stay there again. The bathroom was very small and the blowdryer didn't work. Nice historic decor however and the Diner was wonderful!

The Plaza Hotel is an excellent place to stay when you're in Milwaukee. The staff and service is five star, and the price can't be beat! Asa and Chris treated us like royalty from the time we arrived and catered to our every need.

No issues. You get what you pay for. Pros: kitchen! Clean room. Downsides: there is no room service plus the cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch. The hotel may also be a bit out of the way for some.

I agree with all the great review of this property up to a point. It is an old, beautiful building. It is in a wonderful area of town and very convenient. It is nice to have a kitchen. The staff is amazing, accommodating and friendly. However when we stayed it was just the beginning of spring and luckily, the weather... More

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable with interesting and charming decor. Great location, easy to get downtown. Kitchen was fully equipped. We at breakfast at the cafe and the food and service were both excellent.
