We had a quick one night stay while we were in town for a wedding. Normally I don't spend over $200 a night for a room but we waited too long and decided to take a room here. It is not in the heart of downtown but near Marquette university. Built in the 1920's, it has kept its quaint appeal.... More

The Ambassador Hotel, while an older property, is elegant and historical, but doesn't seem stuffy. If you are going to see a baseball game while in town, it is only a short distance away, and they have a shuttle that will take you to and from the game. We used the shuttle service for two games, and it worked out... More

Stayed here for a weekend with some friends. The surrounding area of the hotel is a little iffy. The outside is kind of run down, but don't judge a book by its cover. The inside was very nice. The lobby is beautiful and has an older feel to it. Loved that they had a nice coffee shop and bar right... More

We had actually made reservations at the Ambassador Inn, but came to the hotel by mistake. The front desk offered a complimentary upgrade to a king and pull out and free parking (bump). Both hotels had a lot of concert goers for The Rave and are conveniently located. Hopping with lots of people, yet quiet for our taste. The shuttle... More

A group of friends and I had spent four nights here for school purposes. The rooms and people were nice but besides that everything else was horrible. I would call the shuttle service to make sure six people could fit and was told we would be the next group to go just to have another person jump in splitting our... More

Growing up, when my parents took my siblings and me on a vacation, staying at a Holiday Inn with a swimming pool was a treat. In the last 40 years, however, my taste in hotels has changed, and my standards are far higher than they used to be. I have stayed in bug-infested dumps on trips with ball teams and... More

Maybe it's because we got the "Priceline" room, but not the room they show on the net. Way small! Had to slide against the wall to get into my side of the queen bed which was in a space no bigger than a twin bed. No couch, but was comfy bed. Heard neighbors talking all night. There is a coffee... We were in town for a Brewers game and stay here for the first time. It was a wedding gift from a family member. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We had a little problem checking in because the room was under someone else's name but worked everything out. We were given free parking for... More

This place has potential. It is an Art Deco gem of a building. Unfortunately the rooms smelled of cigarettes and they were not clean. There were stains on the bedding, hair in the drawers, on the floors, and dust and hair in the coffee maker. Bathrooms need updating badly. The carpet was stained. The mattresses and bedding were poor quality.... More

We were informed to check in after 4 pm which in my opinion, is pretty late but so be it. We arrived at 4:30 and were told that no standard queen bedrooms were available then. The staff person who served our reservation couldn't tell us when he thinks our room would be ready. However, at the very least, he could... More
