We got this hotel using points and were surprised when we had far more than a mediocre experience. Most noteworthy... LOCATION - This is not your typical Residence Inn and certainly not located where you typically find a Residence Inn. It's a great downtown hotel, and I can't imagine a better location. VALUE - A huge historic/restored room in a... More

We stayed here for four nights and were quite impressed. Breakfast was included and quite good - waffle makers and fresh porridge which you don't usually see. Staff were fine - they had sheets available with very specific instructions on how to get to certain attractions. Even though these sheets didn't include bus instructions, they always offered to look up... More

The hotel is located in a renovated Gimbels department store - ceilings are high and rooms are extra large. You're right on the river so get outside and enjoy the Riverwalk! Full breakfast with lots of choices and good coffee. Evening events offer wine and beer plus "light" dinner (we had local brats one night). There's a Borders located in... More

Great location right on the river, not too far from the lake. Room is as pictured on their website. Comfortable bed, spacious and nicely equipped. Quieter than I expected - considering it's located downtown. It's also a very secure hotel, for women traveling alone. Wonderful breakfast buffet - just be sure to get there early. Staff was friendly and helpful.... More

I made my first trip to Milwaukee for Summerfest and chose this hotel based on its proximity to the grounds. It ended up being a great choice. The hotel is a convenient bus or shuttle ride away from the grounds and the chaotic night that I couldn't get on the shuttle or get a taxi because a lot of concerts... More

We enjoyed our stayed at the Residence Inn. The rooms were spacious and I loved the sitting area and kitchen. We had 7 people for a little cocktail party and there were plenty of chairs and space for everyone to sit around the coffee table. We were a little confused about the parking. You needed to swipe this paper ticket... More

This is a rather new hotel with a great location in downtown Milwaukee. Our room was a one bedroom with a large kitchen and living room area. The room was beautifully decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The room also has plenty of storage, so it is perfect for a longer business trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. I... More

This hotel is well taken care of, with friendly, helpful staff. It is situated in a perfect location in order to walk to restaurants, theater or other entertainment venues. The kitchenettes are perfect to save a bit of money and do a little cooking if you'd like; who doesn't like a refrigerator in the room. Great workout facility too.... We... More

I was looking for a hotel that would allow me a full kitchen for entertaining a small herd of my son's friends during a recent visit. The information about the Residence Inn sounded perfect. AND IT WAS! I am 'all about' historical preservation, too, so when I learned that this magnificent building had originally been the Gimbels store in the... More

We’ve just returned from Milwaukee after visiting friends. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are massive. The kitchen is a bonus and the oversized refrigerator is great to store drinks and snacks. The room is clean and well presented, although the maid service is rather slow with our room not being turned until around 5pm each... More
