I was pleasantly surprised with the Hotel Metro. If you are looking for a unique hotel, then I would definitely recommend staying here. It’s centrally located within walking distance to the Riverwalk and several restaurants (note: I hear the Hotel Metro restaurant is overpriced, but I can highly recommend the Mason Street Grill right next door in the Pfister). The Hotel Metro in downtown Milwaukee was an unexpected gem. The art deco hotel was extremely well appointed. Our suite was amazingly spacious, tidy and comfortable. The hotel was relatively quiet also, with elevators and stairs away from the guest rooms. The in-room Aveda products, specious bathtub and extras like bath salts encouraged relaxing. The staff were helpful and efficient.... more
Valet was nowhere to be found. Took over 30 minutes to get help with parking. Winters in Milwaukee are no fun, especially when spent waiting for parking attendant. No problems checking in, but no one around to help with our luggage. Stayed in the Master Suite w/ spa. Room was adequate, somewhat smaller than imagined. Room service was efficient and... more
A great getaway last month to see Bruce Springsteen in Milwaukee (hopped on the train, a 1-1/2 hour trip from Chicago). We loved the Metro. We had a wonderful room on the 6th floor with sitting area with flat screen tv, bedroom with very comfortable bed (and other tv), beautiful, modern bathroom with large tub with European shower and (as... more
The Metro is a beautiful Hotel located in Milwaukee. Rooms are huge!! Two flat screen tv's in each suite. Great bed, beautful bathroom. Loved the saltwater hotub on the top floor. Wish I could have stayed longer. Don't miss $5 martinis on Friday night. more
Just returned from a quick 2 night getaway at the Hotel Metro. We stayed at this property less than a year ago and really loved it, from the saltwater, rooftop hot tub and serenity garden, to the spacious rooms and comfy beds, to the great Art Deco atmosphere. Much of what we love about The Metro remains the same. The... more
I have stayed at the Metro many times over the past 2 years, but it has been about 8 months since my last visit. As I settled in for my 2-night stay this time around, I realized how much I really like and appreciate this hotel! The rooms are so spacious and comfortable - very modern but not so much... more
I booked this hotel as a surprise for my husband's 30th birthday and we were not disappointed. The room was gorgeous, everyone was very friendly, the bathroom was wonderful and the amenities provided, Aveda products, were a fantastic touch. We enjoyed the room service breakfast; it was almost like a bed and breakfast. The hotel is very centrally located; we... more
We travel with a older 10 pound poodle, so we look for lodging that will accept small pets, without having to stay in a "designated room" which often turns out to be a less desirable or a smoking room. Hotel Metro advertised their pet friendly environment, so we booked a night there on our trip, even though that meant going... more
