This was our first stay in Milwaukee and friends recommended The Pfister to us ... and we are glad they did. It is a great old hotel, so the bathrooms have marble and the rooms are large. If you are there during the week, I suggest you pay the extra money for the upgrade to their executive lounge as it... More

The people, from the concerges, to the front desk, to the Lobby Lounge, to Housekeeping, to room service, to the Bell staf, to the parking attendants, all compliment this magnificant facillity. The whole experience was being welcomed to our "home away from home."

We love this gilded age historical hotel for weekend getaways from Chicago. It's location on the main Blvd through Milwaukee is ideal for walking to the lakefront, the art museum or Summerfest. The high ceilinged elegant lobby with large fireplace and cozy seating is a great place to relax and have a cocktail. There is also a casual restaurant in... More

The Pfister is our hotel of choice whenever we stay in Milwaukee. It is old-school luxury that is just not found in new buildings. The art and architecture makes it feel like a European classic castle, and the service matches that level. The lobby is grand but comfortable, with a welcoming bar. The rooftop pool has an unmatchable view. The... More

Old part of hotel with wide hallways, big rooms very classy....elegance from another age. Bedding was very nice. We had a small suite in original hotel, very spacious, nicely appointed. Loved the old world charm. Cocktail lounge was also very special. Spent time just looking at old pictures on walls and comparing what was to to what currently exists...very close.

Pfister charges $300 per night for rooms on an alley next to a loading dock that is busy day and night. Rooms on the west side of the old building should be used for storage, not people. If you get one of those, run...down the street to the Intercontinental! That's where we're staying next time we come to Miwaukee.

Terrific romantic getaway hotel. Stayed at the Pfister 1 night for a 2 day trip from Chicago. Booked the I do. I do. I do package. It was the best option for us since it included amenities like free parking, Champagne on arrival and in room breakfast. The staff was attentive and helpful. Room service was prompt. Utilized the Well... More

It was satisfactory and met my needs. Later I read about the ghosts and I guess I wasn't worthy of a ghostly visit. My room was spacious and comfortable, however there was an unpleasant order in the room and it was "cleaned".

Stayed at the Pfister Hotel for our special day with the I Do I Do Package. I was greatly surprised not only with the value of adding the VIP package, but also with the service and attention that was giving to us by the entire Hotel Staff to make sure it was the best stay possible. Thank-you Pfister Hotel and... More

We celebrated our anniversary there, and it was a grand, romantic venue for our celebration. We only wished we had been able to get a seat at Blu, but it was so busy we went to the lobby lounge instead.
